Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eufy S220 SoloCam — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SW18650 34M 2P)
This is a 3.7V, 6800mAh Li-ion battery for the Eufy 2K Solar Security Camera S220 SoloCam series, including T3814 and AKT8223 variants. It replaces the original SW18650 34M 2P cell pack when capacity fade causes the camera to miss motion events or drop offline overnight. Voltage and physical dimensions match the original: 66.50 × 37.40 × 19.50mm.
- S220 SoloCam compatibility: The S220, T3814, and AKT8223 share the same battery bay geometry and 3.7V BMS handshake. All three draw from the same cell configuration, so one battery SKU covers the full model group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on the S220 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, IR night vision activated correctly at low-light threshold, and the motion processor drew current without triggering a protective cutoff.
- Post-install power cycle: After fitting the new battery, power cycle the camera once through the Eufy app. The firmware must re-register the cell before motion event logs write correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause silent recording gaps even though the camera appears online.
Solar panel not recovering a depleted S220 cell in winter
The S220's BMS has a minimum re-entry voltage — if the cell drops below roughly 2.5V, the solar panel's low winter output cannot push enough current to cross that threshold. The panel may show as "connected" in the app while delivering no meaningful charge to a fully depleted pack. At that point the only recovery path is removing the battery and charging it directly via USB until it reaches at least 3.0V, then reinstalling it so the BMS re-enters normal charge acceptance mode.
App showing 0% or stuck percentage after battery swap
The S220 uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel-gauge IC — it estimates state of charge from resting cell voltage rather than tracking coulombs. Immediately after a swap, the firmware reads an intermediate resting voltage and maps it to the wrong percentage bucket. Run the camera through one full solar or USB charge cycle, then let it sit idle for 30 minutes. The resting voltage will stabilise and the app percentage will reset to an accurate reading.

Frequently Asked Questions
My S220 SoloCam stops recording halfway through a motion clip — what's causing that?
The combined current spike from the IR LEDs, motion processor, and WiFi reconnect on a weak signal can exceed what a degraded or low cell can sustain, tripping the BMS mid-clip. The camera appears online but the recording stops and no clip saves to the server. Check WiFi signal strength at the camera location first — a marginal connection forces repeated reconnect attempts that compound the draw. If signal is strong and clips still cut short, the cell has likely degraded below the point where it can handle that combined load, and replacing it resolves the cutoff.
After fitting the new battery my S220 went offline in the Eufy app even though the LED is on — how do I get it back?
Swapping the battery clears the camera's active session token, so the app loses its authenticated link to the device even though the hardware is running. This is not a fault with the battery — it is a firmware re-registration step the app requires after any power interruption. Open the Eufy Security app, go to the device settings for the S220, and run the re-add or reconnect flow. The camera will re-authenticate and come back online at full function.
The S220 stops triggering motion alerts overnight but works fine in daylight — is the night vision killing the battery?
Sustained IR LED draw during low-light hours pulls more current than the camera uses during the day, and an aged cell with reduced capacity can sag below the voltage threshold the processor needs to stay active. The camera enters a low-power sleep state and stops logging motion events until voltage recovers at sunrise. This is the earliest sign of cell capacity fade — the camera functions through the day but cannot sustain the overnight IR load. Replacing the battery with a fresh 6800mAh cell restores the voltage headroom the IR circuit needs to run through the night.
