Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Fakir Premium / AS 1800 T Series — 18.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3056140)
This 18.5V, 2500mAh Li-ion cell replaces OEM part 3056140 in Fakir's Premium, AS WH Racing Edition, and AS 1800 T cordless vacuums. All three models run the same voltage rail and battery housing, so one cell fits the full group. Capacity figure comes from the product specification — 46.25Wh total energy.
- Premium / AS WH Racing Edition / AS 1800 T fit: These models share the same 18.5V pack format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them requires no modification — the cell seats, latches, and communicates with the charger identically across the group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and recharge sequences on the AS 1800 T platform. The BMS held voltage regulation within spec under sustained motor load, and the charger completed a full charge cycle without flagging a fault or refusing the pack.
- Dock charging behaviour on Fakir vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock once the cell reaches full charge. Fakir's dock does not cut trickle current aggressively — continuous dock charging degrades capacity noticeably faster than charging only when the pack is depleted, then removing it.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when an aged or degraded cell can no longer sustain the motor's operating voltage under load, even though the resting pack voltage still reads acceptable to the indicator circuit. The indicator measures resting voltage, not voltage under draw — so the display lags behind actual pack condition. Under blockage or a dirty filter, motor current demand spikes, and a weak cell sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the indicator catches up. Check the filter first, then test pack voltage under load — a healthy 18.5V cell should hold above 16V during normal suction.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to maintain airflow, pulling more current than the BMS allows under sustained load — the BMS cuts power to protect the cell, then resets once thermal and current conditions drop. The pause you notice is the BMS recovery window. Clean or replace the filter, clear any blockage at the brush head, and confirm the pack voltage reads at or above 18V fully charged before ruling out the battery itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Fakir vacuum suction drops off well before the battery light shows low — is the battery at fault or is it something else?
A partially blocked filter is the first thing to check — restricted airflow forces the motor to draw more current, which causes voltage sag under load even when the pack reads fine at rest. If the filter is clean and blockage-free, the issue shifts to the cell: an aged 3056140 pack loses the ability to hold voltage under draw before its resting voltage drops enough to trigger the indicator. Test pack voltage under live motor load — a healthy cell holds above 16V during suction. If it sags below that, the pack needs replacing.
The motor on my AS 1800 T keeps cutting out for a few seconds and then comes back on — what's causing that?
That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. When suction is restricted — blocked brush head, clogged filter, or a tight carpet fibre wrap on the roller — motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and it shuts the cell down to prevent damage, then resets once current drops. Clear the brush roller, clean the filter, and run the vacuum again. If the tripping continues on an unrestricted machine with a new filter, measure pack voltage at full charge — it should sit at or close to 18.5V.
I replaced the battery but the charger light stays red and never switches to green — why won't it complete a charge?
A replacement cell that the charger refuses to complete usually comes down to a BMS handshake issue or a deeply discharged pack arriving below the charger's acceptance threshold. Fakir chargers expect the BMS to respond with a valid signal before entering full charge mode — if the cell voltage is too low on arrival, some chargers lock out entirely. Let the battery sit connected for 20–30 minutes; some chargers will trickle-charge a low cell until it crosses the acceptance threshold, then switch to normal charge. If the light stays red beyond 30 minutes, check that the connector pins are fully seated and making clean contact.
