Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Foxpro Banshee / CS24 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LITH/CHG, PN34318)
This is an 11.1V, 6700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Foxpro Banshee and CS24 series electronic predator callers. It fits the Banshee, CS24, CS24B, CS24C, and twelve additional Foxpro caller models that share the same battery form factor and voltage rail. Capacity is taken directly from product data — 6700mAh, 74.37Wh.
- Banshee and CS24 series fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (68.70 × 55.60 × 37.70mm), connector pinout, and 11.1V nominal cell configuration. One battery covers the full group because the BMS handshake and charge profile are identical across the lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Foxpro-compatible hardware. The BMS held cutoff cleanly at low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without thermal event or error flag.
- Pre-hunt warm-up protocol: Li-ion cells lose 15–25% usable capacity at 0°C and up to 40% at −20°C. Keep this battery in an inner jacket pocket on the way to your stand and install it just before you set up — a warm cell holds significantly more charge than one left in the caller bag overnight in freezing temperatures.
Why the Banshee loses volume and cuts sequences short in cold weather
At sub-zero temperatures, Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply. The Banshee's amplifier draws a burst of current when pushing high-volume calls, and a cold battery under that load sags in voltage faster than a warm one. The caller's protection circuit reads the sag as low battery and backs off power or stops the sequence. The battery itself isn't dead — it's thermally throttled. Warm the battery to above 10°C before use and the sag disappears.
Banshee shows full charge but won't power on after sitting in a cold truck or shed
A Li-ion cell stored cold and partially discharged can drop below the BMS minimum boot voltage — typically around 9V for an 11.1V 3S pack — making the device refuse to start even though the last indicated charge looked fine. Connect the battery to the Foxpro charger and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle before trying to power the unit again. If the charger light cycles or the battery doesn't warm slightly within the first 10 minutes of charge, the cell may have hit a deep-discharge lockout. In that case, disconnect, wait two minutes, reconnect — some BMS units re-initialise on a fresh connection and resume charging normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Banshee cuts out mid-sequence on cold mornings even though the battery was fully charged the night before — what's happening?
Cold temperatures drive up Li-ion internal resistance, so when the amplifier pulls current for a loud call sequence, the battery voltage sags hard and fast. The BMS reads that sag as a low-voltage event and shuts the output down to protect the cells. The battery still has charge in it — it just can't deliver the current at that temperature. Store the battery in a warm inner pocket on the way to your stand and load it into the caller right before you set up; above 10°C the sag drops back to normal levels.
After a wet morning hunt, the battery indicator on my Foxpro caller shows normal, but the next time I go out the battery is nearly dead — did moisture get in?
Moisture on the battery contacts causes a small but continuous parasitic drain that runs even when the caller is switched off. Wipe the battery terminals and the bay contacts dry after any damp session, and check that the battery cover seats fully flush — a slightly proud cover gap lets condensation wick in overnight. Inspect the contacts for corrosion (a dull grey film) and clean with a dry cloth or a cotton swab before reinstalling. A fully sealed, dry battery stored at room temperature should show less than 1–2% self-discharge per month.
My Foxpro caller won't turn on after sitting in the garage all winter — the battery has been in it the whole time. Is the battery dead?
A Li-ion pack stored cold and unused for months can self-discharge below the BMS minimum boot threshold — around 9V for this 11.1V 3S pack — and the device simply won't start. Remove the battery, connect it to the Foxpro charger, and run a full uninterrupted charge cycle. If the charger doesn't begin a normal charge within 10 minutes, disconnect for two minutes and reconnect — some BMS units re-initialise on a fresh connection and will resume charging from a deep-discharge state. Once the charger shows a complete cycle, the caller should boot normally.
