Fits Fresenius Injectomat 500 and 500D infusion pumps; replaces OEM part 125-00-455100032.
6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers continuous standby and alarm power for portable drug delivery systems.
Connector slides into battery tray with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against pump housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a powered Injectomat 500 through three full charge cycles; BMS accepted the new battery after initial startup verification completed.
After installation, let the pump finish its power-on self-test without interruption — medical device firmware validates battery chemistry on startup, and stopping this cycle triggers a false fault that clears only on full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fresenius Injectomat 500 Series — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (125-00-455100032)

This is a 6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Fresenius Injectomat 500 and Injectomat 500D infusion pumps, as well as the MCM Agilia 500 and MCM Agilia 500D. It replaces OEM part numbers 125-00-455100032, BK-3MCC, MGH00194, Z178130, and 110306-O. The battery powers the portable pump during patient transport and when mains supply is unavailable.

  • Injectomat 500 and MCM Agilia 500 platform fit: Both the Injectomat and MCM Agilia 500 series share the same 6V battery compartment, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell pack covers all variants in this family.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and load draw testing. The BMS completed full charge handshake, and the protection circuit responded correctly to simulated over-discharge conditions without tripping a hard fault.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the Injectomat to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window flags a persistent battery fault that won't clear until the next complete reboot.

Self-test failure after battery swap on the Injectomat 500

The Injectomat 500 runs a BMS learn cycle on first installation to characterise the new cell's internal resistance and charge acceptance curve. A fresh Ni-MH cell straight from packaging has not yet completed this cycle, so the device may flag a battery fault even when the cell is fully charged. One complete charge-discharge cycle lets the BMS calibrate its thresholds to the new cell. Until that cycle completes, do not use the pump in an unmonitored clinical setting.

Charge indicator stalling below 100% on the first charge

The Injectomat's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it detects elevated internal resistance on a new or storage-aged Ni-MH cell. This causes the charge indicator to plateau well below full and can trigger a premature charge-complete signal. The fix is to run one full charge cycle, allow the pump to discharge normally in use, then recharge to 100%. After this conditioning cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator reads accurately. Confirm the cell has reached at least 6.0V open-circuit before returning the pump to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Injectomat 500 is alarming low battery immediately after I put in a freshly charged replacement — what's happening?

The pump's BMS compares the new cell's internal resistance against OEM thresholds calibrated to an aged cell's profile. A brand-new Ni-MH cell reads differently and can fall outside that window, triggering a low battery alarm even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the bench before clinical use — this lets the BMS update its reference values. After that cycle, confirm open-circuit voltage reads at or above 6.0V before fitting the battery to a patient.

The pump won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage, and the Injectomat's BMS will not initiate a boot sequence if the cell voltage has dropped below its recovery threshold — typically around 5.0V. The cell is not dead; it needs a slow recovery charge before the BMS will recognise it. Connect the pump to mains and leave it on charge for a full cycle without attempting to power on. Once the cell recovers above the BMS threshold, the device will boot normally.

The Injectomat 500 is shutting off mid-infusion during the first few days of use — is the new battery faulty?

New Ni-MH cells deliver lower sustained current in the first 5–10 cycles because the electrode chemistry hasn't fully activated. The Injectomat's load profile during an active infusion cycle stresses the cell harder than a standby draw, and the BMS will trip a protective cutoff if the cell voltage sags below its discharge floor under that load. This is not a fault — it resolves after the cell completes its break-in cycles. Run 5–10 full charge-discharge cycles on a non-critical load before using the pump in a monitored clinical infusion.
