The Loox 600 is a Pocket PC device from the early 2000s, and original batteries on these units are well past their cycle life. This replacement restores full power to the device so you can run applications, access stored data, and keep the unit operational.

Why the Loox 600 won't boot after a new battery is installed

If the cell is too low, the device may show nothing on screen or flash the power LED and shut back down. My Loox 600 scans through the day faster than expected after fitting the new battery — why is the charge dropping so quickly?

The barcode scanner LED and wireless radio on handheld PDAs draw significantly more current than standby use alone. In active scanning environments, the real-world load on a 2700mAh cell is several times higher than idle figures suggest. Reduce wireless polling intervals if your software allows it, and check that the battery is reaching a full 4.2V charge before each shift — a partial charge compresses usable capacity before the first scan is taken.

The Loox 600 keeps resetting to factory defaults every few days even with the new battery fitted — what's causing it?

This points to a voltage dip deep enough to trigger a full SRAM wipe without a complete power-off event. It can happen if the battery connection is intermittent or if the cell is discharging to the BMS cutoff threshold during low-activity periods. Check that the battery connector is seated firmly in the bay with no movement. If the resets continue, monitor the battery voltage under load — if it drops below 3.2V during normal use, the cell is not maintaining adequate headroom and should be exchanged.
