Fits Fun Beat VS600 and VacuSmart 600 cordless stick vacuums with original battery part number CS-IRB420VX.
14.4V and 4000mAh capacity matches OEM output; supplies full motor torque on carpet and hard floor cycles.
Battery slides into the charging dock slot with a positive-end-first orientation; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench-tested the cell on a VS600 motor load simulator; BMS engaged protection cleanly at sustained blockage draw without nuisance trips.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous dock charge degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles, so charge to full and remove until next use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fun Beat VS600 / VacuSmart 600 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 4000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Fun Beat VS600 and VacuSmart 600 cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the battery compartment and restores suction power when the original cell has lost capacity or stopped holding charge. Capacity is rated at 57.6Wh.

  • VS600 and VacuSmart 600 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V power rail, battery housing dimensions, and cell count — 179 x 51 x 52mm pack. The motor controller in each draws from the same voltage window, so one battery fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on the VS600 and confirmed the BMS holds voltage within the motor controller's operating range. Cell balance across the Ni-MH stack was stable through repeated load cycles at the vacuum motor's rated draw.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the VS600 on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells develop capacity fade faster than Li-ion under continuous trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells sag under sustained motor load faster than the indicator circuit tracks. When the VS600 motor draws hard — on carpet or during extended use — pack voltage can drop below the motor controller's efficient operating threshold while the indicator still reads mid-range. The result is weaker suction with no low-battery warning. If this happens, check filter condition first: a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above rated current, accelerating voltage sag.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or heavy carpet pile — the motor pulls current beyond the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack shuts output temporarily. Removing the blockage or clearing the filter drops motor draw back below the trip point, and the BMS resets after a short pause. Clean or replace the filter, then restart the vacuum; if the cutout stops, current draw was the cause, not cell failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

The replacement battery is fully charged but the VS600 has noticeably less suction than it used to — what's happening?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor works harder and draws more current than rated, which pulls pack voltage down faster and reduces effective power to the brush. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction. If suction returns to normal, the battery is fine — the filter was the load problem.

The VS600 motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds and then comes back on its own — is the battery faulty?

That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. The motor spikes current above the pack's protection threshold when suction is restricted — usually a clogged filter or jammed brush roll — and the BMS shuts output briefly, then resets. Clear the brush roll, clean the filter, and run the vacuum again. If the cutouts stop, the BMS was responding to a real overcurrent event, not a cell fault.

The battery faded quickly after a few weeks — could leaving the VS600 on the dock have caused this?

Yes. Ni-MH cells degrade faster than Li-ion under continuous trickle charge on a dock. The charger keeps feeding a low current even after the pack is full, which stresses the cells over time and reduces total capacity. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete and only return it when the pack needs a full charge cycle. Avoid topping it off after short uses — full discharge then full charge cycles maintain Ni-MH capacity longer.
