Fits Garmin StreetPilot C320, C330, C340, and C530 — replaces OEM part numbers IA3AB07B1A97, 361-00022-00, 361-00022-07, and 361-00022-05.
This 3.7V 2200mAh Li-ion cell delivers 8.14Wh total capacity for full navigation sessions on the C320 display and GPS receiver.
Connector type is proprietary Garmin spring-contact; slides into the battery door slot vertically with the contact pins facing inward toward the device housing.
We bench-tested this cell against OEM inventory — BMS accepts charge at 0.5A input without fault codes; discharge profile holds 3.4V floor for the C320's low-battery cutoff threshold.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before use — cold start after power interruption takes 5-10 minutes for initial lock.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Garmin StreetPilot C320 / C330 / C340 / C530 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (IA3AB07B1A97)

This 3.7V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Garmin StreetPilot C320, C330, C340, and C530 portable GPS navigators. It also covers OEM references 361-00022-00, 361-00022-05, and 361-00022-07. When the original cell can no longer hold adequate charge for in-vehicle navigation, this unit restores normal operation.

  • StreetPilot C-series compatibility: The C320, C330, C340, and C530 share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V power rail, and connector pinout. One cell covers all four models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a C320 unit. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination at full voltage and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without triggering a hard fault.
  • Cold-start behaviour after fitting: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before driving. A full power interruption forces a GPS cold start — first fix can take 5–10 minutes versus under a minute for a warm start on a unit that was never fully discharged.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the StreetPilot C-series

When battery voltage drops toward 3.4V, some StreetPilot units reduce receiver sensitivity to extend operation time. The GPS signal icon may show full bars, but position accuracy degrades — turns appear late, and speed readings lag. This is a firmware-level power-saving measure, not a receiver fault. Keeping the cell above 3.6V under load during active navigation maintains full receiver sensitivity.

StreetPilot C320 shutting off without a low-battery warning

The battery indicator on these units reads relative to a calibrated voltage curve stored in firmware. After a battery swap, that curve no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge profile. The device can show two bars of charge and cut off seconds later. Run two to three full charge and discharge cycles through active navigation to let the firmware recalibrate the indicator against the new cell's voltage steps. After recalibration, the warning should appear at approximately 3.5V under load before shutdown occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions

My StreetPilot C320 saved routes and favourites were wiped after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The C-series stores saved routes and POIs in battery-backed RAM. When the cell is fully removed and voltage drops to zero, that RAM loses power and the data clears. Back up favourites to a PC via Garmin's MapSource or BaseCamp software before removing the battery, then restore after fitting the new cell.

After fitting the new battery my C320 is taking 8–10 minutes to get a satellite fix — was something damaged?

Nothing is damaged. Full power removal forces a GPS cold start, which means the unit has lost its last known position, almanac data, and ephemeris cache. It has to redownload satellite orbital data from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with clear sky view. After that first fix, subsequent warm starts will lock in under a minute as normal.

The battery indicator on my StreetPilot C530 still shows two bars right before it shuts off — how do I fix that?

The firmware's voltage curve was calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different discharge slope, so the indicator reads incorrectly. Run three full charge-to-discharge cycles through active navigation without plugging into vehicle power mid-session. After those cycles, the indicator recalibrates and the low-battery warning should trigger correctly at around 3.5V under load.
