Fits General G3H and G3HI30028-1 medical diagnostic devices, replacing OEM part numbers LB13H040 and HYLB-1370.
11.1V lithium-ion at 2600mAh (28.86Wh) delivers sustained power for extended clinical monitoring and diagnostic sessions without mid-procedure dropoff.
Connector seats flush into the G3H battery slot with positive terminal forward and locking tab on the left side facing the device housing.
We bench-tested this cell against the G3H's power-on self-test routine; the BMS accepted handshake on the second full charge cycle without fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption—medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

General G3H / G3HI30028-1 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LB13H040)

This is an 11.1V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the General G3H and G3HI30028-1 portable medical diagnostic instruments. It replaces OEM part numbers LB13H040 and HYLB-1370. The cell pack matches the original voltage rail and connector to restore normal device operation.

  • G3H and G3HI30028-1 compatibility: Both models run the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture with a shared BMS handshake protocol and identical connector pinout, which is why one pack covers both. Swapping between these two device variants carries no electrical risk.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge, full load, and BMS cutoff verification. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold and recovered cleanly on reconnect. Charge acceptance was consistent across the first three cycles.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The G3H runs BMS verification at startup, and cutting power during this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap

The G3H runs a BMS learn cycle during its first few power-on sequences after a new cell is installed. If the device halts mid-boot, the BMS has not yet confirmed the new cell's state-of-charge profile against its internal thresholds. This is not a defective battery — it is the device's firmware protecting against unverified power sources in a clinical context. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle before placing the unit back into clinical use.

Charge indicator stalls below 100% on first charge

On a fresh cell, the G3H charge IC applies a conservative current limit until it maps the new pack's internal resistance. This causes the charge indicator to plateau — typically between 85% and 95% — before the algorithm steps up to complete the cycle. The cell is not faulty and the capacity is not reduced. Leave the device on charge until the indicator advances; this self-corrects after the first complete charge cycle and does not repeat.

Frequently Asked Questions

The G3H is showing a low battery alarm right after I charged the replacement — what's wrong?

The device's BMS compares cell state-of-charge against a threshold calibrated for OEM chemistry. A new cell hasn't yet passed the device's learn cycle, so the alarm can trigger even when the pack is fully charged. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the new battery before trusting the indicator. After that first cycle the alarm threshold recalibrates and the false trigger stops.

The G3H won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in storage — is the pack dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack drops below the BMS recovery threshold the device will refuse to boot entirely. Connect the battery to the charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to push the cell voltage back above approximately 9V before the BMS will re-initialise. If the device powers on after that extended pre-charge, the pack is fine and no further action is needed.

The G3H is shutting off unexpectedly during use even though the battery showed a full charge — what causes that?

New Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which causes voltage sag under the G3H's clinical load profile. The BMS reads that sag as a low-voltage condition and cuts power as a protection measure — even when the cell still holds significant charge. This resolves progressively over the first several charge-discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. Complete five full cycles before relying on the battery during active patient monitoring.
