Fits Genio Deluxe 500 cordless vacuum; replaces OEM battery CS-EDN621VX.
14.8V lithium-ion at 3400mAh delivers stable motor voltage through full cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot on the vacuum handle with positive lock tab.
We bench-tested this cell on a Deluxe 500 motor load; BMS accepted full discharge without early cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charging degrades capacity fast, so charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Genio Deluxe 500 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.8V 3400mAh Li-ion battery pack fits the Genio Deluxe 500 cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original cell when capacity has dropped after repeated charge cycles. Voltage and chemistry match the motor controller's requirements directly.

  • Deluxe 500 motor platform: The Deluxe 500 motor controller runs a 14.8V four-cell Li-ion rail. Any deviation in voltage or BMS communication triggers a protection fault at startup. This cell matches the rail voltage and communicates correctly with the vacuum's onboard charge circuit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Deluxe 500 platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no undervoltage trip on startup and no overcharge flag on the dock.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the Deluxe 500: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the dock permanently. The Deluxe 500's charging circuit does not stop trickle current once the pack is full. Continuous dock charge degrades cell capacity faster than regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then lift it off.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. A restricted airpath forces the motor to work harder, which pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator expects. The indicator reads state of charge, not motor load, so it still shows mid-range while suction has already fallen off. Clean the filter first, then retest suction at the same charge level.

Motor cutting out mid-use then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or dense carpet pile, current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts the output. A few seconds off resets the trip and the motor restarts. Clear any blockage from the head and filter before continuing. If the trips repeat on a clean filter, check that the replacement pack's BMS threshold matches the original — a mismatched cell will trip more frequently on normal carpet loads.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Genio Deluxe 500 had noticeably less suction after a few months — could the battery be causing this even when it shows a full charge?

Yes. As Li-ion cells age, internal resistance rises, and the pack voltage sags under motor load even when the charge indicator reads full. The motor gets less voltage than it needs and slows down, cutting airflow before the indicator shows any problem. Test by fully charging, then noting how quickly suction drops during a single vacuum run — if it falls off within the first few minutes of use, the cell has degraded. Replacing the pack restores the voltage the motor needs to hold full suction.

The Genio Deluxe 500 battery faded much faster than expected — is leaving it on the dock causing this?

Almost certainly. The Deluxe 500 dock does not cut trickle charge once the pack is full, so cells sitting on the dock permanently take a slow continuous charge that builds heat and accelerates capacity loss. Li-ion cells degrade faster from chronic trickle charge than from normal use cycles. Charge the new pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it to charge when it's depleted. That single habit change significantly slows fade on the replacement cell.

The Genio Deluxe 500 won't charge on the replacement battery — the dock light just blinks and nothing happens.

The Deluxe 500 charger sends a handshake signal to the battery's BMS before it allows current to flow. If the BMS in the replacement pack doesn't respond as expected, the charger refuses to initiate and shows a fault blink. First, seat the battery firmly — poor contact at the dock pins interrupts the handshake. If the blink continues, check that the replacement pack is rated at 14.8V and Li-ion chemistry, as a voltage mismatch causes the same fault. A confirmed-compatible pack should initiate charge within 10 seconds of docking.
