Replaces OEM part number INR18650-4S for Severin Chill RB-7028 cordless stick vacuum.
14.4V lithium-ion pack delivers 2600mAh capacity — restores full motor power to the dust head and motor assembly.
Connector seats into the battery slot with locking tab engagement; polarity marked on pack contacts.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; pack accepted full charge cycle without fault codes.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — cordless vacuum chargers cause trickle-charge capacity fade; charge fully and remove from dock immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Severin Chill RB-7028 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-4S)

This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack replaces the original INR18650-4S cell in the Severin Chill RB-7028 cordless handheld vacuum. It fits both the RB-7028 and RB7028 model references — same unit, different catalogue listings. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification exactly.

  • RB-7028 platform fit: The RB-7028 runs a 14.4V motor rail drawing power through a 4S INR18650 cell arrangement. This replacement matches that configuration — same cell count, same nominal voltage, same connector orientation — so the BMS handshake between pack and vacuum completes without issue.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the RB-7028 motor controller under sustained load. The BMS held the 14.4V rail stable through full draw cycles and tripped correctly at low-cell-voltage cutoff — no premature shutoffs, no false low-battery flags.
  • Dock charging discipline on the RB-7028: Do not leave the RB-7028 sitting on its charge dock continuously. The charger does not fully disengage at 100%. Trickle current into a full Li-ion pack accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RB-7028

This is almost always a motor load issue, not a battery capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to pull the same airflow — current draw spikes above the BMS's rated threshold. The BMS responds by throttling output voltage to protect the cells, and suction drops noticeably before the indicator registers low charge. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction at full charge.

RB-7028 motor cuts out mid-clean, then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blockage in the nozzle — forces the motor to draw current beyond what the BMS allows on a continuous basis. The BMS shuts output momentarily, then resets once current drops. Clear the blockage, check the filter is seated correctly, and confirm cell voltage is above 12.0V under load before concluding the pack is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RB-7028 suction feels weak from the start of a clean, even with a new battery — what's going on?

A new battery rules out cell fade, so the cause is almost always airflow restriction making the motor work harder than its rated draw. A partially clogged filter is the first thing to check — even a filter that looks clean can restrict airflow enough to sag motor performance noticeably. Remove and tap out the filter, or replace it if it's overdue. Retest with the filter clear before assuming the battery or motor is faulty.

The RB-7028 cuts out during use, waits a few seconds, then starts again — is this a battery fault?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead or defective cell. When suction is obstructed — blocked nozzle, packed filter, or dense carpet fibres — the motor draws a sustained current spike the BMS won't allow past its cutoff threshold. It trips, resets, and the vacuum restarts. Clear the nozzle, clean the filter, and if the cutouts continue on unrestricted surfaces, measure pack voltage under load — it should hold above 12.0V.

The replacement battery isn't charging on the RB-7028 dock — the indicator just flashes and stops.

Some RB-7028 charger units check for a specific BMS response before committing to a full charge cycle. If the indicator flashes briefly then stops, disconnect the pack, wait 60 seconds, and reseat it firmly — a loose connection can interrupt the handshake. If the charger still won't commit, measure the pack's resting voltage with a multimeter; anything above 10.8V means the cells aren't deeply discharged and the charger should accept it. If resting voltage is below 10.8V, the pack may need a recovery charge from a bench charger before the dock unit will recognise it.
