Liectroux X5S — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the Liectroux X5S robotic vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original pack when the cell has degraded and the vacuum can no longer complete a full cleaning cycle. Voltage and capacity match the X5S motor and BMS requirements exactly.

• X5S motor compatibility: The X5S runs a brushless motor drawing from a 14.8V four-cell Li-ion pack. This replacement uses the same cell configuration and connector, so the BMS communicates with the vacuum's charging circuit without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the X5S platform. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without flagging an error state on the dock.
• Dock charging habit on the X5S: Do not leave the X5S sitting on the dock continuously between uses. The charging circuit does not fully disengage at 100%, so cells on permanent dock connection develop capacity fade faster than packs charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the X5S

The X5S motor pulls harder when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter forces the motor to compensate, drawing more current than the BMS expects at that charge level. The BMS reads this elevated draw as a low-capacity condition and begins throttling motor power before the indicator reflects the actual charge state. The result looks like a weak battery when the real cause is airflow restriction. Clean the filter first, then test the battery — if suction recovers to normal, the pack is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-run then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the X5S encounters a floor transition or a blockage — carpet fringe, debris clump — the motor spikes current above the BMS overcurrent threshold. The BMS shuts output to protect the cells, then resets once current normalises. If this happens repeatedly, check the brush roll and suction path for partial blockages before assuming the battery is at fault. A clear path keeps draw within the BMS operating window and stops the cutout cycle.
