Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GIONEE GN320 / GN380 / GN205 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-G015)
This is a 3.7V, 1550mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the GIONEE GN320, GN380, and GN205 smartphones. It carries OEM part number BL-G015 and matches the original cell's dimensions at 51.13 × 50.36 × 4.45mm. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to get through a normal day.
- GN320 / GN380 / GN205 compatibility: All three models run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and use the same BL-G015 connector footprint. The BMS handshake is identical across the range, so one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GN320 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on the first connect, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged cleanly before the cell dropped below safe limits.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the GN320 after a cell swap
The GN320's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model built around the original cell's impedance. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC misjudges the remaining voltage under modem or screen load. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage collapses under that draw and the BMS cuts power. One full discharge cycle — drain to automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
GN320 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this cell's voltage has dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS will have engaged a lockout to prevent unsafe charging. Plugging straight into a wall charger may show no response at all. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source — a PC port or a 5V/500mA adapter — and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. This trickle current is enough to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The GN320 shows a different battery percentage every time I restart it after fitting the new cell — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC on the GN320 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and the new BL-G015 cell has a slightly different impedance profile. The IC recalibrates by tracking a complete discharge and charge cycle. Run the phone down to auto-shutoff once, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%, and the percentage readings will stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on my GN320 the first time I plugged in after fitting this battery — why?
On the first charge cycle with a new cell, the charge IC runs a lower-current validation pass before accepting the proprietary fast-charge handshake. This is normal BMS behaviour — it is checking cell impedance before ramping current. Leave the phone on charge for a full cycle without interrupting it. Fast-charge protocol typically re-engages correctly from the second cycle onward.
The GN320 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several cycles. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and some of that energy becomes heat. It is normal for the first few cycles and reduces as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, or if heat continues past the third charge cycle, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode — drop to a standard 5V/1A charger and confirm the warmth drops.
