This 3.7V, 3300mAh lithium-ion pack replaces the OEM battery in the HandHeld Dolphin 6100 and Dolphin 6110 mobile computers. Both terminals use the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, so one SKU covers both models. Voltage and capacity match the original BP06-00028A specification exactly.

• Dolphin 6100 and 6110 compatibility: Both units share the same chassis depth, locking tab geometry, and three-pin battery interface. The BMS on each model communicates over the same SMBus lines, so the pack authenticates without any firmware workaround or device reset.

That thin layer raises contact resistance enough for the Dolphin cradle's charge controller to flag a fault instead of starting a charge cycle. Wipe the five contacts on the battery face and the matching cradle pins with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until the locking tabs click. If the error clears within 30 seconds, contact resistance was the cause — not a faulty pack or cradle.

On the Dolphin 6100, the 802.11b/g radio and the scan trigger both draw current at the same moment during a rapid barcode burst. If the cell voltage sags below roughly 3.4V under that combined load, the radio module drops its association before the imager completes the decode. This shows up as missed scans followed by a reconnect delay — not a scanner fault or access-point issue. Keeping the battery above 20% charge before a high-throughput shift eliminates the sag event that triggers the drop.
