Fits Honeywell CT47 and CT45 mobile computers, replaces OEM part CT4X-BTEC and 318-055-026.
Voltage 3.87V and capacity 7600mAh supply sustained power for barcode scanning and wireless data transmission throughout a warehouse shift.
Connector seats vertically into the CT47 battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell in a CT47 cradle; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage under scan-plus-radio load.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack — scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honeywell CT47 / CT45 — 3.87V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CT4X-BTEC)

This is a 3.87V, 7600mAh Li-ion battery for the Honeywell CT47 and CT45 mobile computers. Both devices run on the same battery platform, sharing the CT4X-BTEC part number and the same connector and BMS handshake. It replaces OEM part numbers CT4X-BTEC and 318-055-026.

  • CT47 and CT45 shared battery platform: Both models use the same 3.87V cell configuration, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single battery revision covers both devices without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the CT47 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the device, reported state of charge accurately in the status bar, and held the charge floor without triggering low-voltage cutoff early.
  • First-shift cradle protocol: After installing this pack, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and complete one full charge cycle before taking it onto the floor. The scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged cell on the first shift prevents false BMS trips during high-frequency scan bursts in pick-and-pack operations.

Cradle showing charging error on a new CT4X-BTEC pack

A charging error on the dock with a new pack is almost always a contact resistance issue, not a faulty battery. The CT47 cradle uses spring-loaded contacts that can accumulate dust and oxidation from warehouse environments. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery base and the cradle with a dry cloth, then reseat the device firmly until you hear the click. If the error clears within 30 seconds of reseating, the contacts were the cause — not the cell.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

During a high-frequency scan burst, the CT47 draws current simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio. If the cell voltage sags under that combined load, the radio stack can drop its connection before the device shows a low-battery warning. This is more common when the pack is between 20–30% charge. Keep the pack above 30% during active shifts, and check that the battery percentage readout in device settings is not lagging — a stale BMS reading can mask real voltage sag until the radio drops.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CT47 stopped reading barcodes right after I swapped the battery — the screen is on but the trigger does nothing

The imager requires a minimum voltage threshold to fire the laser or LED array — if the replacement pack shipped partially discharged, that threshold may not be met even though the device powers on. Seat the scanner in its cradle and charge it fully before attempting any scans. Once the pack reaches full charge, the trigger should respond immediately. If it still fails after a full charge, check Settings > Honeywell Settings > Scanning to confirm the scan engine is enabled and not suspended by a device policy.

The CT47 gets noticeably warm during a long shift — is that the battery or the housing?

Heat during an extended shift on the CT47 is a product of sustained scan-plus-wireless draw inside a sealed, ruggedised housing with limited airflow — not a sign of a defective cell. The 3.87V Li-ion chemistry does generate some heat under continuous combined load, and the polycarbonate shell retains it. If the device becomes too hot to hold comfortably, that is outside normal operating range — check whether background wireless sync intervals are set too aggressively in your MDM profile, as reducing polling frequency lowers the sustained current draw and the heat it produces.

The new battery seems to drain faster than expected in the first few days — is it faulty?

A new Li-ion cell often shows inconsistent capacity readings for the first three to five full charge cycles while the BMS calibrates its state-of-charge model against actual cell behaviour. Run three complete cycles — full charge in the cradle, then use until the device prompts low battery — before judging shift endurance. After calibration, if endurance is still noticeably short compared to a fresh OEM pack, check scan burst frequency and wireless polling rate in device settings, as both contribute more to drain than most operators expect. Confirm the battery percentage in the status bar matches the reading in Settings > About > Battery after a full charge.
