Fits Urovo NBL9300 handheld barcode scanner; replaces OEM part NBL9300.
7.4V 3000mAh Li-ion cell delivers sustained power for retail inventory and warehouse pick-and-pack workflows without mid-shift drain.
Connector seats into the scanner battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures flush against the housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the NBL9300 cradle through full charge cycles; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion and held stable voltage under scan trigger load.
After installation, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack — the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Urovo NBL9300 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NBL9300)

This 7.4V 3000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Urovo NBL9300 handheld barcode scanner. The NBL9300 is a mobile data collection device used in retail, logistics, and warehouse pick-and-pack operations. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • NBL9300 platform fit: The NBL9300 battery bay uses a fixed connector pinout tied to the device BMS handshake. This pack matches that pinout and voltage rail, so the scanner firmware recognises the cell and does not lock the scan trigger.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-burst sequences and wireless polling intervals. The BMS held stable across inrush current spikes from the scan trigger and the radio transmitter firing simultaneously — no false cutoff recorded.
  • First-shift preparation for the NBL9300: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and let it complete a full charge cycle before the first pick-and-pack shift. The scan trigger draws the highest inrush current when the cell voltage is near minimum — starting at full charge prevents a false BMS trip during the first burst scan sequence.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

Urovo charging cradles read contact resistance at the dock pins before starting the charge cycle. A new pack with oxidised or contaminated contact pads can trigger a charging error even though the cell itself is fine. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery and the cradle pins with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly. If the error clears, the connection was the problem — not the pack.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The NBL9300 fires the scan imager and transmits wirelessly in near-simultaneous bursts during high-frequency scanning. That combined inrush draw can pull cell voltage low enough that the radio drops its link before the BMS cuts out the imager. This happens most often when the battery is below 30% charge. Charge the pack above 3.8V per cell — roughly 7.6V at the pack terminals — before starting a high-frequency scan session to keep voltage above the radio's dropout threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NBL9300 scanner is not reading barcodes after I swapped the battery — the trigger fires but nothing scans

The imager or laser needs a minimum voltage to fire at full power, and a freshly installed pack that hasn't been charged yet can sit below that threshold. The scan trigger still activates because the microcontroller runs at a lower voltage, but the imager output is too weak to decode. Place the scanner in the cradle and charge it fully — 8.4V at the pack terminals — then retry scanning.

The scanner feels noticeably warm after a full warehouse shift — is that normal for this battery?

Sustained imager firing plus continuous wireless polling in an enclosed plastic housing generates real heat, and it is expected to run warm — not hot. If the housing is too hot to hold comfortably, the BMS is working harder than it should, often because the pack contacts or cradle pins have high resistance adding to heat dissipation. Wipe the battery contacts clean, reseat in the cradle, and check that the charge current returns to normal before the next shift.

The new battery is not lasting as long as the old one did on the same shift — what causes that?

A new Li-ion cell often delivers slightly below rated capacity for the first three to five charge cycles before the electrolyte fully wets the electrodes. Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval both affect how fast the pack depletes — a high scan rate in a dense wireless environment draws significantly more than light scanning on a quiet network. Run three full charge-to-discharge cycles in normal use, then reassess shift endurance before drawing conclusions about the pack's capacity.
