This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or brush roll restriction. The battery indicator reads remaining charge at rest voltage, not under load, so it still shows mid-range while suction has already dropped. Clear the filter and brush roll first — if suction restores, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When sustained airflow restriction forces the motor to pull above the BMS current limit — typically triggered by a clogged filter or blocked inlet — the protection circuit opens and cuts power. The BMS resets automatically after a short thermal recovery window, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Wash or replace the filter, clear any blockage at the inlet, and confirm the restart delay drops to under five seconds on the next cycle.
