Fits Hoover BH50015 Platinum Collection LINX handheld and BH50010 Platinum Collection stick vacuum; replaces OEM part numbers BH50000 and 302723001.
18V 2200mAh lithium-ion delivers consistent motor voltage under sustained suction load without sag across carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a locking tab that seats flush; no rotation or force required.
We bench-tested this pack on the BH50015 platform — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, and the motor maintained steady torque through multiple blockage cycles.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock when full; continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade on Hoover cordless platforms.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hoover BH50015 Platinum Collection LINX — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BH50000)

This 18V 2200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Hoover BH50015 Platinum Collection LINX Cordless Handheld and the BH50010 Platinum Collection Cordless Stick Vacuum. It also fits Platinum Stick and Platinum LINX variants sharing the same 18V platform. OEM part numbers BH50000 and 302723001 apply across this range.

  • BH50015 and BH50010 platform fit: Both models run the same 18V battery rail with an identical connector and BMS communication protocol. A single pack covers handheld and stick configurations without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the battery through repeated full-load runs using a blocked-filter scenario to stress the BMS. Overcurrent protection tripped as expected at sustained high draw, and the cell recovered cleanly on reset with no voltage drop at rest.
  • Dock charging on the LINX platform: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between every use. The LINX dock does not cut trickle charge once full, so cells left on continuously develop capacity fade faster than those removed when the charge cycle completes.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor is pulling more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. A restricted airpath forces the motor to work harder, causing voltage to sag under load even when the cell still holds good charge at rest. The BMS reads that sag as a low-state condition and begins throttling output. Clean the filter first, then recharge to full and retest suction at the nozzle.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying cell. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or the brush roll jammed — current draw spikes beyond the pack's continuous rating. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the blockage completely, then confirm the resting pack voltage is above 15.5V before resuming use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hoover LINX had full battery charge but suction dropped off halfway through cleaning — why?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which causes voltage to sag under load even when the cell reads good at rest. The BMS interprets that sag as low charge and throttles the motor output before the indicator moves. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then recharge the battery fully before your next run.

The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds then restarts by itself — is the battery faulty?

That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. When the nozzle or brush roll is even partially blocked, current draw spikes and the BMS shuts the motor down to protect the cells, resetting automatically once draw drops. Clear any blockage from the nozzle and brush roll, then check that resting pack voltage sits above 15.5V — if it does, the battery is fine.

My replacement battery seems to lose capacity faster than the original did — what causes that on the LINX?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on the LINX platform. The dock does not stop trickle charging once the pack is full, so cells left on the dock between every session accumulate shallow-cycle stress and lose capacity faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, remove the pack from the dock, and store the vacuum off the charger until the battery needs a top-up.
