Fits HTC Desire C and replaces OEM part numbers BA S840, BA S850, 35H00194-00M, 99H10905-00, BL01100, 35H00194-04M.
This 3.7V, 1300mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the power your Desire C needs for calling, messaging, and apps.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with the gold contacts facing the device terminals.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the BMS and confirmed voltage held steady until final minutes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without opening apps — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC Desire C / Desire 200 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BA S840)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the HTC Desire C, Desire 200, Golf, and A320E smartphones. It fits devices that use OEM part numbers BA S840, BA S850, or 35H00194-00M. Drop the original out, slide this in — the connector and form factor match the stock battery bay.

  • Desire C / Desire 200 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (53.20 × 42.90 × 4.70mm), voltage rail, and connector pinout. One cell covers the full compatibility group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full discharge-charge cycle on a Desire C unit. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first connection, held voltage above 3.6V under combined screen and modem load, and tripped the protection circuit correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before you resume normal use.

Why the Desire C reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Desire C uses a fuel gauge IC that learns the discharge curve of whichever cell is installed. When you fit a new battery, the IC is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance and capacity curve. It takes one full discharge-to-charge cycle for the coulomb counter to reset and re-map against the new cell. Until that cycle completes, percentage readings can appear frozen, inflated, or jumping by 5–10% at a time. Run the phone down to auto-shutdown once, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the gauge stabilises after that.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum operating threshold under peak load — typically during a call, video stream, or GPS fix — even though the gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet learned the new cell's voltage sag characteristics, so it doesn't warn the OS early enough. The BMS trips as cell voltage dips below roughly 3.2V under load. One full recalibration cycle resolves this by giving the IC accurate data to trigger a low-battery warning before voltage collapses.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Desire C won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, before normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment for the first few charges after fitting this cell — is that normal?

Yes, and it's specific to the first few cycles on a new high-impedance cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more heat as it pushes current in. This settles after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops. If the warmth continues beyond the third full charge, check that no case or cover is trapping heat against the battery cover.

The percentage jumps erratically — goes from 45% to 31% in two minutes, then back to 38% — what's happening?

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped from the original cell. When the new cell's voltage response doesn't match that stored curve, the IC misreads state-of-charge and corrects itself in sudden steps. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle writes a new baseline to the fuel gauge and the jumping stops.
