  • TRT-AL00A platform fit: The Enjoy 7 Plus and its Dual SIM variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Both HB406689ECW and HB396689ECW part numbers reference the same cell specification, so this replacement covers the full TRT-series lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the TRT-AL00A board. The BMS accepted the handshake without error flags, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit responded to simulated over-current events within spec.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on this platform calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the OS to display inaccurate percentages for several days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Enjoy 7 Plus

An aged cell develops higher internal impedance. Under peak load — active modem, GPS, or screen at full brightness — terminal voltage drops sharply even when the reported state of charge looks healthy. The phone's hardware protection reads a voltage cliff and shuts down before the OS can log a low-battery event. A fresh cell with lower impedance sustains voltage under the same load, so the shutdown threshold is never triggered. After fitting this replacement, run one full discharge cycle before judging percentage accuracy.

Phone will not power on after sitting in storage

Li-Polymer cells that discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens to prevent damage, and the phone appears completely dead. Plug in a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the lockout threshold before the BMS resets. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V, the BMS closes the circuit and normal charging resumes. If the screen shows no response after 30 minutes on charge, verify the cable and adapter are delivering at least 5V 1A.

Yes, and it corrects itself. The fuel gauge IC on this phone stores a discharge curve calibrated to your old, degraded cell. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts off automatically — then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement battery — what's wrong?

The Huawei charge protocol requires a BMS handshake before the charge IC ramps up current. On the first cycle with a new cell, the IC defaults to standard 5V charging while it verifies the BMS response. Disconnect the cable, power the phone off completely, then reconnect. If fast charge still does not engage, complete one full slow-charge cycle first — the handshake on this platform sometimes requires the BMS to register one completed charge event before accepting the high-current negotiation.

My Enjoy 7 Plus feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat as it pushes current in. Warmth that makes the back panel uncomfortable to hold — above roughly 40°C — is not normal. If that happens, check that the charger output is 5V and that you are not running processor-intensive apps during the charge. Normal temperature should settle by the third or fourth full charge cycle.
