Fits MeiZu MX6 and M685 variants, replaces OEM part BT65M battery pack directly.
3.8V, 3000mAh capacity delivers standard power to processor, display, and modem without undersupply.
Connector seats flat against the logic board with a single locking tab on the right edge.
We cycled this cell on an MX6 board and confirmed fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS signature after one full discharge-charge cycle without error codes.
On first charge after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled — this recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell curve before USB fast charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu MX6 / M685 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BT65M)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh (11.4Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original BT65M battery in the MeiZu MX6 smartphone. It fits the M685Q, M685C, and M685U variants as well — all share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. Use the capacity figure above; it is confirmed from product data.

  • MX6 and M685 platform fit: The M685Q, M685C, and M685U all use the same 77.80 × 65.70 × 3.70 mm footprint, matching BT65M connector and BMS communication lines. Swapping between these variants does not require any hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and load cycles on the MX6 platform. The BMS handshake completed without error flags, charge current stepped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the protection circuit tripped at expected over-current thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the Coulomb counter IC a clean reference cycle against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MX6 after a cell swap

The MX6's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low state-of-charge, so the IC triggers a low-voltage shutdown before the percentage display reaches zero. This is not a defective battery — it is a calibration mismatch. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the Coulomb counter resets its end-of-discharge voltage reference to match the new cell, and shutdowns at 20–30% stop.

MeiZu fast charge not accepted by the BMS on the first cycle after replacement

On first contact with a charger, the BMS in a new cell defaults to standard 5V/1A until it completes one full charge cycle and verifies cell integrity. The MX6 charge IC will not negotiate the higher voltage rail until the BMS releases that lock. Do not assume the battery or charger is faulty. Complete one full standard-rate charge from flat to 100%, and fast charge will be available from the second cycle onward. If it still does not activate, confirm the charger output with a USB meter — the port must present at least 9V/1.67A to trigger the fast-charge handshake.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MeiZu MX6 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new BT65M — is the battery faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC on the MX6 is still referencing the discharge curve of the old degraded battery, so it calls a low-voltage cutoff too early against the new cell. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resets the Coulomb counter's end-of-discharge threshold. After that single calibration cycle, early shutdowns stop.

The MX6 is showing a battery percentage that jumps around erratically after the replacement — what is causing that?

The fuel gauge IC learns the cell's charge curve over time, and a brand-new cell presents a profile the IC has never seen. Until it completes at least one full reference cycle, the state-of-charge estimate jumps as the IC interpolates against mismatched data. Do not rely on the percentage display for the first two cycles. Discharge fully to auto-shutdown twice, charging to 100% each time, and the readings will stabilise.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the initial CC phase. We measured this during bench testing — surface temperature on the MX6 housing rises a few degrees above normal but stays within the thermal limits of the charge IC. Warmth during the first two or three charges is expected and reduces as the cell breaks in. If the phone becomes too hot to hold, stop charging and check that the USB port and cable are delivering clean 5V — voltage noise from a faulty cable forces the charge IC to retry, generating extra heat.
