Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinuvo CleanMate QQ1 / QQ2 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NS280D67C00RT)
This is a 14.4V, 2800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Infinuvo CleanMate QQ1 and QQ2 series robot vacuums. It fits the CleanMate QQ2, QQ2 Basic, CleanMate 365, and at least fourteen additional CleanMate variants sharing the same NS280D67C00RT specification. Verify your model number before ordering — the connector and voltage rail must match exactly.
- CleanMate QQ1 / QQ2 platform compatibility: These models share a common 14.4V power rail, the same NS280D67C00RT connector format, and a BMS that communicates charge state back to the dock controller. Swapping to a different voltage or connector type will trigger a dock fault or prevent charging entirely.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a CleanMate QQ2 dock. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge acceptance was normal, and the overcurrent protection tripped as expected under a simulated blocked-motor load — then reset cleanly once load was removed.
- Dock charging discipline for Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the CleanMate sitting on the dock between uses. Ni-MH chemistry is sensitive to continuous trickle current — the kind a robot vacuum dock applies indefinitely after a full charge. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next scheduled clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the CleanMate QQ1
The CleanMate's motor draws significantly more current when suction is restricted — a partially clogged filter can push draw well above the rated idle current. Under that load, a degraded Ni-MH cell's voltage sags early, and the robot interprets the voltage drop as low battery rather than a blockage. The suction weakens or the unit docks itself prematurely even though the charge indicator hasn't moved. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers and early docking stops, the battery was masking a filter problem, not failing on its own.
CleanMate motor cuts out mid-cycle and then restarts on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. When the motor is under sustained restricted load — a jammed brush roll, a thick rug edge, or a blocked inlet — current spikes past the BMS threshold and it disconnects the cell to protect it. The unit goes quiet, sits for a few seconds, then restarts once the BMS resets. Clear the brush roll and inlet, then confirm cell voltage is at or above 14.4V after a full charge. If the trips continue on a clear path, the motor bearings may be drawing excess current at end of life.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CleanMate QQ1 docks itself after only a short run even though the battery indicator still looks fine — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a restricted filter causing early voltage sag, not a faulty cell. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated, the Ni-MH cell's voltage drops under load, and the dock controller reads that as a depleted battery. Remove, clean, or replace the filter and run another cycle — if the robot completes a full clean, the battery is working correctly.
The CleanMate stops, sits quietly for a few seconds, then starts running again on its own — what's happening?
That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip and recovery. A blocked brush roll, a jammed inlet, or a thick carpet edge forces the motor to draw above the BMS trip threshold, which cuts the cell to protect it. Once the BMS resets — typically within a few seconds — power restores and the unit moves on. Clear the brush roll and inlet completely, then check that cell voltage reads at or above 14.4V after a full charge.
The replacement battery charges fine but the CleanMate's runtime got noticeably shorter than it was when the robot was new — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of capacity fade on these units. Ni-MH cells suffer from trickle charge damage when left on the dock indefinitely — the dock doesn't fully cut charging current once the cell is full. Charge the battery to 100%, lift the CleanMate off the dock, and only return it to charge when it's been run down. After a few proper full cycles, usable capacity typically recovers noticeably from the fade baseline.
