Infinuvo Hovo 510 / IQX-510 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Infinuvo Hovo 510, Hovo 510 Plus, and IQX-510 robotic vacuum cleaners. It slots directly into the battery compartment and restores full cleaning cycles to vacuums that have lost capacity over time. Capacity is 43.2Wh as shipped.

• Hovo 510, 510 Plus, and IQX-510 compatibility: All three models run the same 14.4V drive architecture and share an identical battery bay footprint — 89.20 × 67.20 × 44.60mm. The cell count and voltage rail are consistent across the range, so one pack fits all three without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on a Hovo 510 unit. The BMS handled charge termination cleanly, and the motor controller accepted the pack without fault codes or mid-cycle shutdowns.
• Dock charging discipline on the Hovo 510: Do not leave the Hovo 510 sitting on the charging dock permanently between uses. Ni-MH cells in robotic vacuums develop capacity fade faster under continuous trickle charge than under charge-and-remove cycles. Charge the pack to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Hovo 510

This happens when the motor is drawing more current than the battery's rated output can sustain cleanly. A partially clogged filter or blocked brush roll forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down under load before the indicator logic registers a low-battery state. The robot reads voltage at rest, not under load — so the gap between what the indicator shows and what the motor actually sees can be significant. Clear the filter and brush roll first, then recheck; if suction still drops early, the cell pack itself may have degraded past useful capacity.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical fault. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or thick carpet — the motor draws a sustained high current spike that exceeds the BMS threshold, and the pack shuts off briefly to protect the cells. The recovery happens once the BMS resets after the current spike clears. Clean the filter and remove any debris from the brush roll, then run a test clean; if the cutout continues with a clear airpath, check that pack voltage at rest sits at or above 14.4V before starting a cycle.
