Fits Vileda XR210, XR510, and KV8 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part YX-NI-MH-017144-COR and NS3000D03X3.
14.4V 3000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 43.2Wh to sustain motor torque on carpet and bare floors without voltage sag.
Rectangular pack slides into vertical dock slot with keyed connector and positive-contact locking tab—no force needed on insertion.
We bench-tested discharge cycles on a dock charger simulator; BMS showed stable voltage decay across load, no premature cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently—continuous trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vileda XR210 / XR510 / KV8 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (YX-NI-MH-017144-COR)

This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the Vileda XR210, XR510, and KV8 cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part numbers YX-NI-MH-017144-COR and NS3000D03X3. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly — the vacuum's motor controller sees no difference.

  • XR210, XR510, and KV8 compatibility: All three models share the same 14.4V motor rail, connector footprint, and BMS communication protocol. One battery cell configuration covers all three without any adaptation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the XR210 motor platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake cleanly on the first connection, and the overcurrent threshold matched the motor's peak draw under carpet load.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. Ni-MH chemistry develops capacity fade significantly faster under trickle charge than lithium cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor pulls more current than the battery can sustain at the rated voltage — the cell voltage sags under load before the charge level is actually low. On Ni-MH packs, a partially clogged filter makes it worse: the motor works harder, draw spikes, and voltage dips faster. The battery indicator reads state-of-charge, not voltage under load, so it can show half-full while the motor is already starving. Clean the filter first, then check whether the symptom persists.

Motor cuts out mid-session then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — by a blocked filter or a wedged piece of debris — the motor stalls slightly and current spikes past the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cells, and after a brief cool-down the pack resets. The fix is to clear the blockage and clean the filter, not to replace the battery. If the cutout happens on a clean, unloaded machine, check the cell voltage under load — it should hold above 12.0V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vileda XR210 loses suction halfway through vacuuming but the battery indicator still shows charge — what's causing that?

The battery indicator on the XR210 reads stored charge, not voltage under load. As Ni-MH cells age, their internal resistance rises and voltage sags when the motor draws peak current — suction drops even though the indicator looks fine. A clogged filter makes this worse by forcing the motor to work harder and draw more than the rated current. Clean the filter first; if suction still drops, the cells have degraded and the pack needs replacement.

The motor on my XR510 cuts out for a few seconds then kicks back in on its own — is this the battery failing?

That cycling behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, wedged debris — the motor draws more current than the BMS allows and it cuts the circuit to protect the cells. After a short reset, the pack reconnects. Clear any blockage and clean the filter; if the cut-out stops, the battery was protecting itself from a mechanical restriction, not failing. If it trips on a clear, unobstructed machine, check that cell voltage holds above 12.0V during operation.

My Vileda KV8 battery used to last much longer — it now depletes very quickly even after a full charge. We left it on the dock constantly. Is the cell permanently damaged?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH packs. The trickle charge that keeps the battery topped up generates heat inside the cells and degrades the electrode material over time — capacity loss is cumulative and largely irreversible once it sets in. A replacement pack will restore full capacity, but remove it from the dock once charging is complete to avoid repeating the same damage. Going forward, charge only when the vacuum is depleted or near-depleted.
