Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Internorm 32482 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICR18650-1S1P)

This 3.7V, 3350mAh Li-ion battery replaces the ICR18650-1S1P cell in the Internorm 32482 smart home device. It restores power to the wireless automation module when the original cell has degraded or failed. Capacity is sourced directly from product data at 3350mAh (12.4Wh).

  • Internorm 32482 platform fit: The 32482 uses a single 18650 cell in a 1S1P configuration. Voltage, connector orientation, and cell dimensions (68.60 × 18.60 × 18.60mm) must match exactly — this cell meets all three. A mismatched cell triggers BMS rejection and the device will not power on.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 3.7V single-cell BMS rig. The protection circuit responded correctly to overcharge and over-discharge thresholds, and cell voltage held within expected tolerance under light-draw IoT polling loads.
  • Mesh re-join after power interruption: After swapping this cell into the 32482, allow at least 60 seconds before assuming the device is faulty. Internorm smart home modules run a network re-join sequence on every power cycle — the indicator may stay dark or blink slowly while that handshake completes.

Why the Internorm 32482 goes offline immediately after a battery swap

Powering down a wireless smart home node removes it from the mesh network entirely. When the new cell goes in, the device broadcasts a re-join request and waits for the hub to acknowledge it. This exchange takes up to 60 seconds under normal hub load. If the device is still offline after 90 seconds, move it within 2 metres of the hub and trigger a manual re-join from the app.

Low battery alert firing immediately after installing a new cell

Cells stored in a warehouse for several months self-discharge to around 3.5V or lower. The Internorm 32482 reads cell voltage on first boot and may flag a low battery warning if the resting voltage falls below its internal alert threshold. This is not a faulty cell — it is a storage-voltage issue. Charge the device fully before dismissing the alert; the warning should clear once the cell reaches 4.1–4.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Internorm 32482 is draining the new battery far faster than the original — what's causing it?

High polling frequency is the most common cause. If another device was added to your mesh network recently, the hub may now query the 32482 more often, increasing its wake cycle and draw. Check your hub's polling interval setting for the 32482 and reduce it if it is set below 30 seconds. Disabling unnecessary automations tied to this node will also reduce how often the device wakes and transmits.

The Internorm 32482 is not reconnecting to the hub at all — even after waiting 90 seconds after the battery swap.

When a device loses power for an extended period, some hubs drop it from the active device list entirely rather than waiting for a re-join. The device itself is broadcasting, but the hub is no longer listening for it. Open your hub app, navigate to device management, and run a manual re-pair for the 32482. Once paired, the hub will resume polling and the device will appear online.

The Internorm 32482 powers on but shows an error state after I installed the replacement cell — did I get the wrong battery?

An error state on first boot usually points to a cell voltage mismatch, not the wrong battery. If the replacement cell rested at a significantly lower voltage than the original, the BMS may log a fault on startup. Check that the cell voltage is above 3.7V before installation — use a multimeter on the cell terminals. If it reads below 3.6V, charge the device for 30 minutes before powering it on fully.
