Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

IQOO 8 Pro / V2141A — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-S0)
This is a 7.74V, 2150mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the original B-S0 battery in the IQOO 8 Pro (V2141A) smartphone. It restores power to the display, processor, modem, and all onboard functions. Capacity comes from the product data: 2150mAh / 16.64Wh.
- 8 Pro and V2141A compatibility: Both model designations refer to the same physical hardware. The B-S0 cell shares the same connector pinout, BMS communication protocol, and voltage rail — no hardware modification needed to fit either variant.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the B-S0 replacement through a full charge and discharge cycle on the 8 Pro. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, charge current stepped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage cutoff.
- First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to. When voltage drops under modem or screen load, the IC reads a percentage that doesn't reflect actual remaining capacity. The phone shuts down to protect the cell even though the display shows charge remaining. One full discharge-to-cutoff cycle, followed by a complete charge without interruption, allows the coulomb counter to map the new cell's curve accurately and eliminates premature shutdowns.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on first cycle after swap
On the first charge cycle after installation, some units revert to standard 5V charging rather than accepting the IQOO proprietary fast charge protocol. The charge IC is negotiating with a new BMS and defaults to the lowest safe rate until it confirms cell parameters. Completing one standard charge cycle resolves the handshake. If fast charging still does not engage after that, check that the original IQOO charger and cable are in use — third-party cables with high resistance can prevent protocol negotiation above 9V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My IQOO 8 Pro shows 25% battery and just shuts off with no warning — is the new cell faulty?
Not faulty — the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage reading doesn't match what the new cell can actually deliver under load. When the modem or display spikes current draw, the cell voltage drops below the protection threshold before the IC expects it. Run one complete discharge to automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter will track the new cell accurately and shutdowns at 20–30% should stop.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it shows 60%, then suddenly drops to 41%, then climbs back up.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after a cell swap. The IC uses a stored discharge model built from the old cell's impedance and capacity — the new cell doesn't match that model yet, so reported percentages drift. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by a full charge to 100%. Keep the phone off the charger until it shuts itself down, then charge straight to 100%. The IC will write a new baseline against the replacement cell and percentage reporting will stabilise.
After fitting the B-S0 replacement, the phone gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first charge — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the initial CC phase. This is expected on cycle one and settles as the cell's impedance drops over the first few charge-discharge cycles. Keep fast charging disabled for the first full cycle to limit charge current and reduce heat. If the back of the phone stays hot past the first two cycles at standard charging rates, check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no pinched connector — a bent contact raises impedance further.
