Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM57)
This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh (18.96Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. It replaces the original BM57 battery when capacity fade causes shortened screen-on time or unexpected shutdowns. The cell measures 90.60 × 63.70 × 5.00mm and uses the same connector and flex as the factory unit.
- Redmi Note 10 Pro fit: The BM57 is specific to this model's battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. The fuel gauge IC on the Note 10 Pro board reads cell data over a dedicated line — the connector must seat fully or the OS will not recognise the battery at boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Redmi Note 10 Pro board. The BMS accepted the new cell without a fault flag, and the charge IC stepped through standard CC/CV without interruption.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installation, disable fast charging in Settings and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% on standard 10W. This gives the coulomb counter a clean reference discharge curve against the new cell before Xiaomi's 33W fast charge protocol starts pushing high current.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Redmi Note 10 Pro after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old degraded cell, so its voltage-to-percentage map is wrong for a fresh 4900mAh cell. Under modem or display load, actual cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, and the board cuts power before the reported percentage hits zero. One full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.
USB-PD or 33W fast charge not activating on the first charge after replacement
Xiaomi's proprietary fast charge handshake requires the charge IC to confirm cell voltage is within the acceptance window before stepping up current. On a new cell that has never been cycled, the IC sometimes reads cell impedance as out of range and falls back to 5W standard charging for that session. This is not a fault — it clears after the cell completes its first full charge cycle at standard rate. On the second charge, plug in and check the lock screen charging indicator; the 33W icon should appear within 30 seconds of connection.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Redmi Note 10 Pro battery percentage is jumping around erratically after I put the new BM57 in — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the Note 10 Pro board is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old degraded battery. When a new 4900mAh cell behaves differently under load, the coulomb counter loses tracking and jumps. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off — after that single cycle the IC recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.
My Redmi Note 10 Pro gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance before its first few cycles, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat as it pushes current into the cell during the CC phase. This is normal and reduces after two or three full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the back of the phone stays warm past 45 minutes into a charge on the third cycle or beyond, check that the battery flex connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and generates sustained heat. Reseat the connector and retry.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro won't turn on at all after the BM57 replacement battery sat in a drawer for several months — what do I do?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BM57 dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS will have entered lockout to prevent damage. The phone will show nothing on screen when you press power. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage clears approximately 3.0V, the BMS releases lockout and the phone boots normally.
