Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo IQOO 8 Pro / V2141A — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-S0)
This is a 7.74V, 2150mAh (16.64Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Vivo IQOO 8 Pro and V2141A smartphones. It replaces the original B-S0 cell when the device can no longer hold a charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Dimensions are 86.60 × 63.80 × 5.60mm — verify clearance before installation.
- IQOO 8 Pro / V2141A compatibility: Both model numbers share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The B-S0 cell fits both without modification to the flex cable or charge IC wiring.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the IQOO 8 Pro platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC stepped through its constant-current and constant-voltage phases as expected.
- First-cycle recalibration tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Why the IQOO 8 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The IQOO 8 Pro uses a coulomb counter-based fuel gauge IC that builds its model against the previous cell's charge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored model is stale. The gauge reads voltage and current correctly, but maps them to the wrong state-of-charge percentages. One full discharge below 5% and a complete charge to 100% without interruption forces the IC to rebuild its internal model against the new cell's actual curve. Until that cycle completes, percentage readings will drift — typically over-reporting in the upper range and under-reporting near the bottom.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC's model diverges from the real cell voltage under load. The IQOO 8 Pro's modem and display draw enough current to drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge registers a low-charge warning. The cell isn't faulty — the gauge model is mismatched. Run one uninterrupted full cycle with fast charging disabled, then check the shutdown voltage in the developer battery stats. After recalibration, the BMS cutoff should align with the gauge reading at approximately 3.4V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fast charging won't activate on my IQOO 8 Pro after fitting the new B-S0 cell — it only trickle charges on the first plug-in. Is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. On the first cycle after installation, the IQOO 8 Pro's charge IC runs a low-current pre-qualification check against the new cell before it will handshake with the USB-PD or proprietary fast charge protocol. This is the BMS protecting an uncalibrated cell from high-current input. Plug in, let it charge fully at standard rate without interrupting it, and fast charging will activate normally on subsequent cycles.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is the new cell safe?
This is expected behaviour with a fresh Li-Polymer cell. A new cell has higher internal impedance than a cycled one, which means the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. The warmth drops off after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the device becomes hot enough to trigger a thermal warning on-screen, stop the charge and let it cool to room temperature before continuing — then charge at standard rate, not fast charge, for the first two cycles.
My IQOO 8 Pro won't power on at all after the B-S0 replacement sat in a drawer for a few months — the screen stays black even on charge.
A cell stored uncharged for an extended period can drop below 2.5V, triggering a BMS lockout that blocks normal charging. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC runs a low-voltage recovery trickle before the BMS will re-enable the main charge path. If the screen remains black after that window, try a different USB-C cable and a wall adapter rated at 5V/2A minimum, then wait another 15 minutes. The phone should display a low-battery icon once cell voltage recovers above 3.0V per cell.
