Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jabra Elite 85t Charging Case — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL902232V)
This 3.8V, 750mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the internal battery inside the Jabra Elite 85t Charging Case. It fits the wireless charging dock that keeps the Elite 85t earbuds topped up between AC charges. When the case stops holding a charge, this cell is the direct fix.
- Elite 85t Charging Case fit: The Elite 85t case uses a compact Li-Polymer cell with a specific connector pinout and BMS communication line. This replacement matches the original cell's footprint at 34.00 × 22.00 × 8.50mm, voltage rail, and connector — so the case firmware reads it without a handshake error.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Elite 85t case. The BMS accepted the pack cleanly on first connection, the charge indicator lit normally, and the case passed current to both earbud charging contacts without fault.
- First-cycle protocol for the Elite 85t case: After fitting the new cell, place the case on AC charge with the lid closed and no earbuds inside. Let it run a full uninterrupted cycle before inserting the earbuds — this lets the case firmware calibrate the new cell's capacity baseline before it begins sharing load with the earbud contacts.
Why the Elite 85t case shows full charge but earbuds cut off after short use
A new or deeply discharged cell often sits at storage voltage — around 3.6V — when first installed. The case firmware reads that as a partial charge and reports a misleading status on the LED indicator. The earbuds draw current through the case's output rail, and when that rail dips under load, the BMS trips the cutoff before the indicator has updated. One full AC charge cycle from storage voltage resets the firmware's state-of-charge register and clears the mismatch.
Case LED blinking fault after new cell installation
A blinking fault LED on the Elite 85t case after a cell swap usually means the BMS handshake didn't complete on first connection. This happens when the cell voltage is below the case's minimum acceptance threshold — typically under 3.5V. Connect the case to AC power immediately after installation and leave it for at least 15 minutes before checking the LED again. If the fault clears and steady charging resumes, the BMS has accepted the pack; if not, reseat the connector and repeat from 3.5V pre-charge via AC.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Elite 85t case shows three green LEDs but the earbuds die after a few songs — what's going on?
The case LED reads cell voltage, not true capacity — a new cell at storage voltage (~3.6V) can show "full" before it has been properly cycled. The earbuds pull current through the case output contacts, and the cell voltage sags under that combined load, tripping the BMS cutoff early. Run one full uninterrupted AC charge cycle with the lid closed and no earbuds inserted, then recheck — the LED state and actual delivered charge will align once the firmware has a calibrated baseline.
The charging case feels warm after sitting on the AC charger for a few hours — is that normal with a new cell?
Mild warmth during the first two or three charge cycles is expected. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has slightly elevated internal resistance until the electrolyte fully wets the electrode surfaces, which generates a small amount of extra heat during charge. If the case is hot to the touch or the LED flashes red, disconnect AC immediately and inspect the connector seating. Normal operation sees the case return to ambient temperature within 10 minutes of AC being removed.
Talk time from the case seems shorter than advertised even after a week of use — does this battery need conditioning?
Li-Polymer cells do recover capacity over the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the electrode structure stabilises. Shallow top-up charges — plugging in for 20 minutes then unplugging — slow that process down. Run the case down until the LED drops to one bar, then charge fully to 4.2V (indicated by all LEDs solid) at least three times in a row. Measured capacity typically reaches its rated 750mAh by the fourth cycle.
