Fits JBL Live 760NC and Tune 760NC headsets, replacing OEM part HPT693331.
Voltage 3.8V, capacity 500mAh—adequate for full ANC and Bluetooth draw across a standard charge cycle.
Connector slides into the internal battery slot with flat contact orientation; locking tab seats flush against the housing clip.
We ran the pack through a full charge cycle in the JBL cradle; BMS accepted the handshake on insertion without fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a complete cycle before taking calls—the base needs to log the new cell for accurate talk-time estimates.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JBL Live 760NC / Tune 760NC — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HPT693331)

This 3.8V, 500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the internal battery in the JBL Live 760NC and Tune 760NC wireless over-ear headphones. It restores power to Bluetooth audio, active noise cancellation, and onboard controls when the original cell has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 32.30 × 33.00 × 6.70mm — verify against the existing cell before fitting.

  • Live 760NC and Tune 760NC compatibility: Both models share the same internal chassis layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single cell covers both. Voltage tolerance across the two platforms is identical at 3.8V nominal.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Live 760NC unit and confirmed BMS handshake completion, stable cutoff at low voltage threshold, and no thermal anomaly under sustained ANC-plus-Bluetooth draw.
  • First-charge protocol for ANC headphones: After fitting, run the headset through one full charge-to-discharge cycle with ANC active. The noise-cancellation DSP draws a separate power rail — a partial cycle leaves that rail calibration incomplete, which causes the battery indicator to read inaccurately until a full cycle is logged.

Why the Live 760NC cuts out mid-call on a degraded cell

The Live 760NC runs Bluetooth audio, ANC processing, and the microphone circuit simultaneously during calls. Combined draw spikes briefly when the ANC chip adjusts to ambient noise changes. A degraded or partially charged cell cannot sustain that spike without voltage dropping below the BMS cutoff threshold, which triggers an immediate shutdown. A fresh cell at full charge holds the voltage rail stable through those transient peaks.

Battery indicator stuck at full after replacement but headset shuts off early

A replacement cell shipped at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — sits close enough to nominal that the headset firmware reads it as full. The fuel gauge does not recalibrate until a complete charge-discharge cycle is completed. Until that cycle runs, the indicator stays high and then drops sharply before the actual low-voltage cutoff kicks in. Charge the headset fully, use it until it powers off on its own, then charge again — the indicator will track accurately from that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Live 760NC cuts out mid-call but works fine for music — what's causing that?

Calls pull harder than music because the microphone, Bluetooth transmitter, and ANC chip all run at the same time. That combined draw creates brief current spikes the degraded original cell couldn't sustain — voltage dipped below the BMS cutoff and the headset shut off. A fresh cell handles those peaks without dropping below threshold. Fit the replacement, run a full charge cycle with ANC on, and the cutout behaviour stops.

The headset feels warm near the ear cup during long calls — is that the new battery?

Yes, and it's expected. The Live 760NC packs a small cell into a tight housing with no active airflow. Sustained combined draw from ANC and Bluetooth during extended calls generates heat that has nowhere to go quickly. A fresh cell runs that load more efficiently than a degraded one, so warmth is normal but should be noticeably less than what you felt before replacement. If the housing gets hot enough to be uncomfortable, check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no pressure on the casing.

Talk time is shorter than rated for the first few uses after fitting — is the battery faulty?

It's not faulty — Li-Polymer cells need several charge-discharge cycles before they reach full rated capacity. On a new cell, the first two or three cycles typically deliver less than the rated 500mAh. Capacity climbs incrementally across cycles three through five as the electrolyte fully wets the electrode stack. Run three complete charge-to-cutoff cycles with ANC active and talk time will reach its rated level.
