Jimmy JW31 — 20V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B02-1825A)

This is a 20V 2500mAh (50Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Jimmy JW31 cordless stick vacuum. It replaces the original B02-1825A pack and slots directly into the JW31's battery housing. Voltage and capacity match the stock specification exactly.

• JW31 platform fit: The JW31 runs a 20V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw during operation. This pack matches that voltage rail and uses a compatible BMS handshake so the vacuum recognises the battery and runs the motor at full speed.

This happens when the motor is drawing more current than its rated load — usually because the filter is partially blocked. The extra current draw pulls cell voltage down faster than normal, so the pack hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the indicator still shows charge remaining. The vacuum then loses suction or cuts power even though the battery looks fine. Clean or replace the filter first, then test again — a clear airpath is the fastest fix before replacing the battery.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained airflow restriction forces the motor to work harder, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts output off momentarily. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. This cycle repeats until the restriction is cleared. Check the filter, brush roll, and any blockage in the suction path — once airflow is restored, the current draw drops back to normal and the cutouts stop.
