Fits KAZAM Trooper2 5.0 and Trooper 2 X5.0 smartphones; replaces OEM battery KLB200N291.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2000mAh supplies power to processor, display, and modem on this handset.
Connector slides into the factory slot with standard orientation; no adapter needed for original contact alignment.
We bench-tested this cell on a calibrated discharge rig; the BMS accepted full charge cycles without early cutoff or thermal drift.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KAZAM Trooper2 5.0 / Trooper 2 X5.0 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (KLB200N291)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell for the KAZAM Trooper2 5.0 and Trooper 2 X5.0 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers KLB200N291, KXX50, and 5834003661. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or triggers unexpected shutdowns under load.

  • Trooper2 5.0 and Trooper 2 X5.0 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions (73.83 × 60.06 × 4.28 mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge runs on the Trooper2 5.0 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached cutoff voltage cleanly at the top of each cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge fully to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC one clean reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging starts pushing current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Trooper2 5.0

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under peak modem or display load, the cell's terminal voltage drops sharply enough that the phone's protection circuit reads it as a low-voltage cutoff event — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance sustains voltage under the same load. After fitting this replacement, run one full discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter maps the new cell's actual voltage curve and stops triggering early cutoff.

OS showing wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Trooper2 5.0 stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC compares live voltage readings against that stale curve — which causes percentage jumps, inflated readings near full, or a sudden drop to zero. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Discharge the phone fully until it powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing it from the charger — that single cycle resets the coulomb counter reference and the percentage display stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KAZAM Trooper2 5.0 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

It's most likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a Li-ion cell self-discharges below roughly 2.5V during storage, the battery management system trips a deep-discharge protection cutoff and blocks current flow to prevent cell damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Fast charging stopped working on my Trooper2 5.0 right after I fitted this replacement battery — why?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to standard charging mode because it hasn't yet confirmed the new BMS parameters. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone to 100%, let it discharge to around 20%, then charge again — on the second cycle the charge IC recognises the BMS handshake correctly and fast charge re-enables. If it doesn't re-enable after two full cycles, check that the charger itself outputs at least 5V/2A.

The Trooper2 5.0 feels noticeably warm around the battery area during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat in the first few charge cycles than a broken-in one — the charge IC pushes current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance until the electrodes settle. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three full charge cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, or if the back panel bulges at any point, stop charging immediately and check that the connector is fully seated flat with no pinched wiring.
