Fits Klarstein 210XR, Cleantouch 210XR, Cleantouch KV8 210C, and KV8 210C cordless vacuums as OEM replacement battery.
14.4V and 2000mAh output sustains motor draw on carpet and hard floors without premature cutoff.
Connector slides into vacuum handle slot with positive contact pin alignment — check orientation before seating.
We bench-tested the Ni-MH pack under sustained motor load; BMS handled draw cycles without nuisance shutoff.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock contact causes capacity fade in Ni-MH cells.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Klarstein 210XR / Cleantouch KV8 210C — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery pack for the Klarstein 210XR and Cleantouch KV8 210C cordless vacuum range. It fits directly into the battery compartment of these handheld stick vacs and restores motor power to the suction system. Replace when the original pack no longer holds a useful charge between cleans.

  • 210XR and KV8 210C platform fitment: These models share the same 14.4V motor rail, battery slot geometry, and connector pinout — one pack covers the full range listed above without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran discharge cycles through the vacuum's motor circuit and confirmed the BMS holds voltage within spec under sustained suction load. No premature cutoff was triggered during normal operating draw.
  • Dock charging on these vacuums: Remove the Klarstein from its charging dock once the pack reaches full charge. Ni-MH cells in continuous dock contact receive a trickle current that accelerates capacity loss — charge only when depleted, then disconnect.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Klarstein 210XR, suction loss mid-session usually isn't a flat battery — it's motor voltage sag caused by a restricted filter forcing the motor to draw above its rated current. The BMS reads that elevated draw as a low-cell event and throttles output to protect the pack. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction holds steady after that, the battery was never the problem.

Motor cutting out completely, then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a dying battery. When airflow through the 210XR is restricted by a blocked filter or a blockage in the nozzle, sustained high current triggers the BMS protection circuit, which shuts the motor off. The pack recovers once current demand drops. Clear the blockage, wait 30 seconds, then restart. If the cutout repeats on a clear nozzle, measure pack voltage under load — a healthy cell should hold above 12V during motor run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Klarstein 210XR ran fine for a few months but now the suction drops noticeably partway through a clean even though the battery indicator isn't showing low — what's happening?

A partially blocked filter is the most likely cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated to maintain suction, which causes the pack's voltage to sag early — the battery indicator can't distinguish this from genuine cell depletion. Remove and clean the filter, then run a full clean again. If the suction holds steady after that, the battery is not the problem.

The Klarstein vacuum's motor suddenly cuts out mid-use, then starts working again after I leave it for 30 seconds — is this a faulty replacement battery?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. Sustained restricted airflow — usually a blocked nozzle or full dust container — drives motor current above the threshold the BMS is set to protect against, so it shuts output down temporarily. Clear the blockage, empty the container, and restart. If it trips again on a completely clear nozzle, check pack voltage under load — it should stay above 12V while the motor is running.

I've had the replacement battery for a few weeks and it already seems to hold less charge than when it arrived — could the dock be causing this?

Yes — continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in Ni-MH packs. The Klarstein dock keeps a trickle current flowing after the pack is full, and Ni-MH cells degrade measurably faster under that condition compared to charge-and-disconnect use. Remove the vacuum from the dock as soon as charging is complete. Going forward, only place it on the dock when the pack is genuinely depleted.
