Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Landxcape CR208E / LX835 Series — 20V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LA0007)
This is a 20V 3400mAh (68Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for Landxcape cordless lawn mowers. It fits the CR208E, R800 Smart, LX835, LX992, and three additional models in the same platform family. The battery slots into the deck-mounted battery compartment and powers the cutting blade motor directly.
- CR208E, LX835, LX992 and R800 Smart platform: These models share the same 20V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One pack works across the full family without adapters or firmware changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full load cycles simulating blade motor inrush and sustained cutting draw. The BMS held trip thresholds correctly and cell voltage balanced within spec across all discharge stages.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to room temperature.
BMS cutoff during thick-grass or wet-grass cutting
The blade motor on the CR208E draws a significant inrush current each time it hits a dense patch or wet clump. If the pack's cells are partly discharged, internal resistance rises and the BMS may read an over-current condition — cutting power mid-row. This isn't a faulty battery; it's the protection circuit doing its job. Start each session with a fully charged pack, and avoid mowing wet grass where possible. If the mower cuts out, stop, wait two minutes, and restart — the BMS resets once current drops below the trip threshold.
Charger showing fault light after winter garage storage
A battery left in an unheated garage over winter can self-discharge below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically under 14V on a 20V Li-ion pack. Most Landxcape chargers interpret this as a faulty or incompatible pack and flash a fault LED rather than starting a charge cycle. Move the battery indoors and let it sit at room temperature for two hours. Then connect the charger — once cells recover slightly above the acceptance threshold, the charger recognises the pack and begins the recovery charge normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Landxcape mower cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts again after a short wait — is the battery failing?
This is thermal protection triggering, not a failing battery. Sustained high-load cutting raises cell temperature, and the BMS cuts power until the pack cools. Let the mower sit for five minutes before restarting. If it happens consistently in normal dry-grass conditions after the first five charge cycles, check that the battery contacts are clean and seating fully in the deck compartment.
The new battery runs noticeably warmer than my old one — is something wrong?
New Li-ion cells go through a conditioning period over the first four to five full cycles where internal chemistry stabilises and warmth increases slightly under load. This is normal and settles down. If the pack is too hot to hold after a standard cutting session beyond cycle five, that points to a cell imbalance — stop using it and check the pack voltage resting at 20V (±0.5V) with a multimeter.
My mower starts sluggishly on a cold morning — the blades spin up slowly and the cut feels weak even on a full charge.
Below 10°C, Li-ion cells deliver less current because cold increases internal resistance. The blade motor sees reduced voltage under load, which means slower spin-up and weaker cutting force. Bring the battery indoors the night before an early spring cut and let it reach room temperature before fitting it. A pack at 20°C will deliver full rated current from the first pass.
