Fits Ambrogio 4.0 Basic 4WD Premium, 4.0 Elite 4WD Premium, 4.36 Elite 4WD Ultra Premium; replaces OEM part numbers 101-806, 1126-9105-01, 1126-9138-01, CS C0106/1, PA-L1022.K03.R001, PA-L1022.K03.R002.
25.9V and 7800mAh capacity delivers full blade motor torque on dense turf without voltage sag during mowing passes.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orient the contact pins toward the mower chassis before seating fully.
We bench-tested this cell under full blade load — the BMS remained stable through ten consecutive charge cycles with no early cutoff.
Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temperature is below 10°C; cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance and the blade motor inrush can trip the BMS on a frozen pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ambrogio 4.0 Basic 4WD Premium — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (101-806)

This is a 25.9V, 7800mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Ambrogio 4.0 Basic 4WD Premium robotic lawn mower and several related models. It also fits the 4.0 Elite 4WD Premium, 4.36 Elite 4WD Ultra Premium, and the L200 series. Voltage and cell count match the original pack exactly.

  • Multi-model fit — 4.0 and 4.36 series: These models share the same 25.9V battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them does not require any configuration change on the mower.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a 25.9V robotic mower platform. The BMS responded correctly to both trickle charge initiation and high-current blade motor inrush without tripping or locking out.
  • Cold-weather start tip: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor inrush current on startup can trip the BMS before the pack has had a chance to warm up.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load

The Ambrogio 4WD blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting dense or wet grass compared to normal dry conditions. If that inrush spike exceeds the BMS protection threshold — typically triggered when cell voltage sags below 21V under load — the pack will cut power to protect the cells. This is not a battery fault; it is the protection circuit doing its job. Reduce the mowing zone complexity or allow the mower to tackle heavy growth in shorter passes to keep current draw within the BMS window.

Charger refuses to accept the pack after winter storage

If the mower sat unused through winter, the pack may have self-discharged below the charger's acceptance voltage — usually around 20V for a 25.9V Li-ion pack. Most Ambrogio chargers include a recovery or wake-up mode that applies a low trickle current to bring the cells back above acceptance threshold. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes before expecting the charge LED to switch from fault to active. If the cells have dropped below approximately 17.5V, the BMS may have locked the pack entirely and a dedicated Li-ion recovery charger set to 25.9V nominal will be needed to reinitialise it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ambrogio cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts again after a few minutes — what's causing that?

This is thermal protection triggering under sustained blade load. When the motor runs hard through thick or damp grass, cell temperature climbs until the BMS trips the output to protect the pack. The mower recovers once the pack cools. Allow a 5-minute rest before restarting, and if it keeps happening, check that the cutting height is not set too low for current grass conditions.

The charger shows a fault light on the new pack — it won't start charging at all.

If the pack arrived partly discharged and sat for any time before first charge, cell voltage may have dropped below the charger's acceptance floor. Connect the pack, leave it on the charger for 45–60 minutes, and check whether the fault light clears as the recovery circuit brings cells up to threshold. If the fault persists after an hour, measure pack voltage at the terminals — anything above 20V should be recoverable; below that, use a Li-ion recovery charger set to 25.9V to reinitialise the BMS before returning to the Ambrogio charger.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one did during charging — is something wrong?

Warmth during the first several charge cycles is normal as new cells condition and internal resistance stabilises. For the first five cycles, surface temperature during charge will run higher than it will once the pack is broken in. Charge in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and check that the battery compartment vents on the mower are not blocked with grass clippings — clear airflow is the single most effective way to keep pack temperature in range during this period.
