Fits Landxcape LX790i, LX790, LX792, LX795 lawn mowers replacing OEM part numbers LA0001, LA0002, and 50037124.
20V lithium-ion pack rated 3400mAh delivers consistent blade motor torque across full discharge without voltage sag on mid-deck cuts.
Slide-slot connector seats flush into the mower's battery bay with positive locking tab that clicks audibly when fully seated.
We cycled this cell through five full discharges on the LX790i under load; BMS remained stable and showed no premature cutoff events.
Before first spring use, bring the pack indoors overnight if stored below 10°C — cold Li-ion cells trigger early blade motor cutoff on heavy grass loads.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Landxcape LX790i Series — 20V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LA0001)

This is a 20V 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the Landxcape LX790i and LX790 series cordless lawn mowers. It also fits the LX792 and LX795. OEM part numbers LA0001, LA0002, and 50037124 all cross-reference to this pack.

  • LX790 series fit: The LX790, LX790i, LX792, and LX795 share the same 20V battery rail and connector housing. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across this range, so one pack services the whole platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the LX790i platform. The BMS correctly balanced cells during charge and held voltage under simulated blade-motor inrush current without nuisance tripping.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before storing the mower over winter, run the battery down to around 40–50% charge — not flat. A fully charged or fully depleted Li-ion pack sitting for months accelerates cell degradation faster than normal cycling does.

BMS cutoff on thick grass or wet-grass blade load

The blade motor on the LX790i draws a sharp inrush current each time it bites into dense or wet grass. If the battery cells are already warm from a long mowing run, that spike can push current draw past the BMS overcurrent threshold. The BMS shuts the pack down as a protection response, not a fault. Let the battery cool for five minutes, then restart — the BMS will reset and accept load again.

Charger shows a fault light after the mower sat all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the pack dropped below around 2.5V per cell over winter, the charger's acceptance circuit will refuse to begin a charge cycle and flag a fault. Some chargers include a recovery or wake-up mode — engage that if available. If not, a compatible charger with a trickle-charge function can bring cell voltage back above 3.0V, after which a normal charge cycle will complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Landxcape LX790i cuts out halfway through a row, then starts again after a minute — what's happening?

This is thermal protection triggering in the BMS, not a faulty battery. Sustained blade load in thick or damp grass generates heat inside the pack, and the BMS shuts output to protect the cells. A five-minute rest resets it. If it's cutting out on every row, check that the mower deck isn't clogged with grass — restricted airflow around the motor increases draw and trips the BMS faster.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than my old one after mowing — should I be concerned?

New Li-ion cells have slightly higher internal resistance before they are conditioned. That resistance generates more heat during the first few discharge cycles, which is normal. Warmth after mowing is expected; hot to the touch immediately after charging is not. Run five full charge and discharge cycles and the pack temperature will settle to normal operating range.

My charger won't accept the pack after winter storage — the light just flashes red. What do I do?

The pack most likely discharged below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell — during storage. The charger's protection circuit blocks charging at that level. If your charger has a recovery or boost mode, activate it. If not, a Li-ion charger with a trickle function can nudge each cell back above 3.0V, after which the normal charge cycle will start.
