Fits Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15 and IdeaPad 100-15IBY models with part numbers L14C3A01, L14S3A01, 5B10H42831, 5B10K10177, or 5B10K10220.
Voltage sits at 10.8V with 2200mAh capacity, delivering 23.76Wh total — sufficient for full-day unplugged work on the 15-inch display.
Connector uses a standard Lenovo barrel plug with alignment pin; slides into the battery bay slot with no force needed and clicks firm when seated.
We ran full charge and discharge cycles on the IdeaPad platform; the BMS engaged without fault codes and voltage held steady under mixed CPU and display load.
After installation, discharge completely to automatic shutdown then charge without interruption to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on every Lenovo cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L14C3A01)

This is a 10.8V, 2200mAh (23.76Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15 notebook. It fits the IdeaPad 100-15IBY and related 100-15 variants that use the L14C3A01 or L14S3A01 cell. Install it when the original battery no longer holds a charge or is flagged as degraded by Lenovo Vantage or the BIOS.

  • IdeaPad 100-15 platform fit: All IdeaPad 100-15IBY variants share the same battery bay dimensions, 10.8V power rail, and three-pin connector wiring. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across this family, so one cell covers the full 100-15 range listed here.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an IdeaPad 100-15IBY chassis. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge current ramped normally from pre-charge to CC to CV, and the protection circuit tripped at the correct low-voltage cutoff under load.
  • First-cycle calibration on the IdeaPad 100-15: After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff — do not force-shutdown — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement

The IdeaPad 100-15 BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM, not from live cell measurements. A new cell ships with factory EEPROM values that don't match the host system's charge history, so the BIOS flags it as unknown or degraded. This is not a fault — it clears after one full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge cycle. Lenovo Vantage will update its health display once the learn cycle completes and the fuel gauge IC re-syncs with the new cell's capacity baseline.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old, degraded cell. The percentage shown no longer maps correctly to actual cell voltage. Under combined CPU and display load, the cell hits its low-voltage floor while the OS still shows significant charge remaining. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle — without interrupting it — followed by a complete charge to 100%. After two to three full cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and shutdowns at falsely-low percentages stop. If the issue persists past three cycles, check the BIOS battery threshold setting — it should be set to 0% on this platform, not 20%.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Lenovo Vantage show the wrong Wh rating after I installed this battery?

The Wh figure shown in Vantage pulls from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery cell, not from a live measurement. The rated Wh in that EEPROM can differ slightly from the actual chemistry value depending on when the cell was manufactured and how the firmware reads it. This is a display discrepancy only — it does not affect charging or protection circuit behaviour. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate and charge cycle and check whether the value updates; on most IdeaPad 100-15 units it corrects itself after the BIOS completes its learn cycle.

The battery percentage jumps around wildly for the first few days — is the cell faulty?

The fuel gauge IC on the IdeaPad 100-15 mainboard was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance and capacity curve. After a cell swap, it has no accurate reference point, so percentage readings can skip by 10–15% in a single minute under load. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles. Do not interrupt the discharge or charge — let the laptop reach hibernate-cutoff naturally, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself against the new cell's voltage curve across those cycles and readings stabilise.

Charging stopped at 80% and won't go higher — what's blocking it?

The IdeaPad 100-15 BIOS includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when Conservation Mode is enabled in Lenovo Vantage. This is a BIOS setting, not a battery fault. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, select Battery Settings, and switch from Conservation Mode to Normal Mode. Charging will resume to 100% on the next cycle.
