Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad S340 / ThinkBook 14 — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (5B10T09093)
This is an 11.4V, 3200mAh (36.48Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 series and ThinkBook 14 laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers 5B10T09093, L18L3PF2, L19M3PF0, L19M3PF1, L19D3PF2, and several SB10 variants. The cell fits the IdeaPad S340-15IWL Touch and ThinkBook 14 20RV000ACD and 20RV000GCD configurations.
- IdeaPad S340 and ThinkBook 14 platform fit: Both the IdeaPad S340 series and ThinkBook 14 share the same 11.4V three-cell Li-Polymer architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — so one cell covers both chassis without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an IdeaPad S340-15IWL and confirmed the BMS initialised correctly, charge current stepped down normally at the 80% threshold, and the BIOS reported cell voltage within spec across a full charge cycle.
- Post-install calibration on the S340: After fitting, let the battery discharge fully to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
Why the IdeaPad S340 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The S340's fuel gauge IC built up a discharge curve model from the old, degraded cell. After a swap, that stored model still drives the state-of-charge calculation. When the new cell's actual voltage hits a point the old model treats as near-empty, Windows triggers shutdown — even though the cell has usable capacity left. Running two or three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's chemistry. After calibration, the reported percentage tracks actual cell voltage accurately.
BIOS shows "poor battery health" immediately after fitting a new cell
The Lenovo BIOS reads health data from the battery's EEPROM. A new cell ships with factory EEPROM values that don't match the discharge history the BIOS expects — so it flags the battery as degraded. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the cell. Run the battery learn cycle: discharge to automatic hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle, the BIOS resets the health register and the warning clears. If it persists, check BIOS version — some S340 firmware builds below version ASCN35WW misread Li-Polymer EEPROM data and require a firmware update to 11.4V cell tolerance.

Frequently Asked Questions
The new battery shows 0% and won't charge at all — laptop just sits on the charger with no response
This usually means the cell arrived in a deep-discharge protection state and the BMS has locked out charging. Plug in the AC adapter and leave the laptop closed for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — the trickle current from the charger slowly brings cell voltage up to the BMS's minimum unlock threshold (around 9V for an 11.4V Li-Polymer pack). Once the BMS unlocks, normal charging begins. If the charge LED still shows no activity after 45 minutes, check that the battery connector is fully seated — the ThinkBook 14 chassis in particular has a retention clip that can leave the connector one pin short of full contact.
Lenovo Vantage is reporting the wrong Wh rating — it says 35Wh but the battery is listed as 36.48Wh
Lenovo Vantage reads the rated Wh value stored in the battery's EEPROM, which reflects the OEM factory figure — often rounded down from actual cell capacity. The 36.48Wh figure is the measured capacity from actual chemistry; the EEPROM stores a conservative 35Wh nominal. This is a data labelling difference, not an indication that you received the wrong cell. Confirm the correct fit by checking voltage instead: Vantage should report 11.4V nominal, and the design capacity should sit between 3100–3300mAh. If voltage reads 10.8V, you have a different cell revision installed.
Charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — battery has been in for two weeks
The S340 and ThinkBook 14 both ship with a BIOS-controlled charge limit active by default. Lenovo calls it Conservation Mode — it caps charging at 60% in its most aggressive setting or 80% in the standard setting to reduce cell stress during constant AC use. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power → Battery Settings, and switch from Conservation Mode to Normal Mode. The battery will then charge to 100% on the next cycle. This is firmware behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell.
