Fits HP Spectre x360 15-ch000na and replaces YB06XL, HSTNN-DB8H, YB06084XL battery packs.
11.55V at 7150mAh delivers 82.58Wh — sufficient to run the x360 touchscreen display and eighth-gen Intel CPU through a full workday.
Connector seats into the proprietary HP two-pin slot with flat locking tab; orientation marked on the motherboard.
We bench-tested this cell in an x360 chassis; the BMS accepted the pack on first connection and showed stable voltage ramp during initial charge.
After installation, discharge fully to hibernation-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP Spectre X360 15-CH000NA — 11.55V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (YB06XL)

This is an 11.55V, 7150mAh (82.58Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the HP Spectre X360 15-CH000 series convertible laptop. It replaces OEM part numbers YB06XL, HSTNN-DB8H, 928372-856, 928427-271, and 928427-272. The slim 5.20mm cell stack matches the original footprint inside the Spectre X360 chassis.

  • Spectre X360 15-CH000 series fit: The CH000 series — spanning NA, NB, ND, NF, and over 75 additional regional variants — shares the same YB06XL cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery covers all of them.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a CH000 unit and confirmed the BMS initialised correctly on first connect, charge current ramped normally through CC/CV stages, and the HP battery gauge registered full capacity without error flags.
  • Post-install discharge cycle: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on the Spectre X360 platform.

Why the Spectre X360 BIOS flags a new battery as poor health immediately after install

The Spectre X360 BIOS reads learned capacity data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell on first boot. Because the new cell has no charge history, the BIOS treats the mismatch as a degraded unit and throws a health warning. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge gives the BIOS enough cycle data to write a new baseline. After that single learn cycle, the health warning clears on its own.

Spectre X360 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual chemistry. The IC is still using discharge curves from the old, degraded cell, so it miscalculates the voltage cliff and cuts power too early. The fix is the same learn cycle: discharge fully to hibernate, charge to 100% without interruption, and repeat once more if the cutoff persists. After two full cycles the fuel gauge recalibrates and the displayed percentage aligns with actual cell voltage — check that it reads above 11.0V at the point it previously shut down.

Frequently Asked Questions

HP battery check in BIOS is showing "Replace" or a red X right after I put in the new battery — is it dead already?

It is not dead. The Spectre X360 BIOS stores learned capacity data from the old cell's EEPROM and flags a mismatch when it sees a new cell with no charge history. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle writes a new baseline and the warning clears on its own.

Windows is showing this battery as 82Wh but HP Support Assistant says something different — which one is right?

The difference comes from how the EEPROM reports rated Wh versus what the fuel gauge IC has measured from actual charge cycles on the new cell. The 82.58Wh figure in the product data is the cell's rated capacity — that is the correct reference. After two full discharge-charge cycles the fuel gauge recalibrates against real chemistry data and the reported figure in Support Assistant stabilises to match the rated spec.

The fuel gauge was jumping around wildly for the first couple of days — 60% one minute, 40% the next — what causes that?

The fuel gauge IC on the Spectre X360 builds its discharge model from cycle history. With a brand-new cell it has no data points, so voltage readings between cycles are erratic and the percentage display swings unpredictably. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles without interruption. After those two cycles the IC has enough data to track the new cell's voltage curve accurately and the gauge stabilises — confirm it tracks smoothly from 11.55V full down to the hibernate cutoff near 9.0V.
