Fits LG G7000, W7000, 7000W, and 7020W handsets; replaces original BSP-20G battery.
3.7V 900mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the rated capacity this smartphone's power management IC expects for accurate fuel gauge readings.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no modification; locking tab seats flush against the phone's internal retainer.
We bench-tested this cell against the G7000's charge IC — BMS accepts input current without fault codes, and voltage curve tracks normal discharge across talk and standby loads.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled; this allows the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG G7000 / W7000 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BSP-20G)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original BSP-20G battery in LG G7000, W7000, 7000W, and 7020W handsets. It restores full power to the phone's core functions — calls, messaging, and apps. Capacity is drawn from the product specification at 900mAh (3.33Wh).

  • G7000 and W7000 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail at 3.7V, and BSP-20G connector format. The BMS handshake requirements are identical across the G7000, W7000, 7000W, and 7020W variants, so one cell covers all four.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge and charge sequence on the G7000 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge IC engaged normally, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold — no anomalies logged.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installing this cell, disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the G7000 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. One slow cycle lets it remap against the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G7000 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff near depletion, and under modem or screen load it drops below the cutoff threshold before the percentage reaches zero. The phone shuts down because actual cell voltage collapses faster than the gauge predicts. Run one full discharge to below 5% and a complete charge to 100% to let the coulomb counter reset against the new cell's real curve.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the BSP-20G cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent unsafe charging. Plugging straight into the wall charger may show nothing on screen for several minutes — this is normal. The charge IC delivers a trickle current first to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, which sits around 2.9V. Leave the phone connected for at least 15 minutes before attempting to power on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my LG G7000 show the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new BSP-20G cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the G7000 stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell. A new cell with different internal resistance shifts that curve, so the percentage reading is off from the start. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.

The G7000 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance before it's been cycled. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that resists it more than a broken-in cell would, which generates mild heat. This is most noticeable in the first two to three charge cycles and drops off as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated.

Fast charging stopped working on my G7000 after I replaced the battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the G7000's charge controller may not accept the proprietary fast-charge handshake from a new BMS. This is a one-cycle behaviour — the controller defaults to standard current until it has completed one full charge with the new cell's BMS. Charge to 100% using the original LG charger, let it complete fully, then disconnect and reconnect. Fast charge should re-engage on the next session once the BMS and charge IC have exchanged a complete cycle of data.
