Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Limpiafondos Para — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (100353)
This 7.4V 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 100353 in the Limpiafondos Para cordless pool vacuum cleaner. It slots into the original battery housing and connects to the same BMS circuit as the factory cell. At 38.48Wh, it matches the energy capacity of the original pack.
- Para pool vacuum compatibility: The Limpiafondos Para runs a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion architecture. This pack matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector and BMS handshake the charger expects — swapping in a different voltage or cell count will trigger a charge fault.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack under simulated pool vacuum motor loads and monitored BMS behaviour through startup and sustained suction. The protection circuit held stable through normal draw spikes and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without nuisance trips.
- Pool vacuum storage tip: If the Para sits unused between pool seasons, discharge the battery to around 50% before storage. A fully charged Li-ion pack held at maximum state of charge for months accelerates cell degradation faster than use does.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
Pool vacuums face a specific stress that dry-surface vacuums don't — debris and algae accumulate on the filter rapidly, restricting airflow mid-session. When the filter loads up, the motor works harder, draws more current, and voltage sags at the battery terminals. That sag reads as a low-charge condition to the motor controller, and suction drops even though the pack still has capacity. Clean the filter before each session and check that the debris canister isn't more than two-thirds full during operation.
Battery fade after leaving the Para on the charging dock continuously
Li-ion cells degrade faster when held at 100% state of charge over extended periods — a common issue with pool cleaners that stay docked between weekly uses. The charger trickle-feeds the pack to keep it topped up, but sustained high-voltage storage stresses the cathode chemistry. After a full charge, unplug the vacuum and store it off the dock. If the pack no longer holds a usable charge after months of dock storage, this replacement cell starts the cycle fresh — charge fully, then remove from the charger at 7.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Limpiafondos Para motor cuts out mid-clean and then comes back on after a few seconds — what's causing that?
That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the filter or intake is partially blocked, the motor strains against the restriction and pulls more current than the protection circuit allows — so the BMS disconnects the cell to prevent damage, then resets once the current draw drops. Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly, then check the intake path for trapped debris. If the motor runs normally after that, the battery is fine and the restriction was the cause.
Suction is noticeably weaker on this replacement pack than it was on the original battery when it was new — is that normal?
A new Li-ion pack sometimes needs two or three full charge-discharge cycles before the cells reach stable capacity. Run the vacuum until the battery depletes, charge fully, and repeat — suction output typically normalises by the third cycle. If suction is still weak after conditioning, check the filter and impeller for blockage, because a restricted airflow path will make even a fully charged pack feel underpowered. The pack voltage at full charge should read 8.4V.
The Limpiafondos Para won't charge after I fitted the replacement battery — the charger light doesn't respond at all.
The Para charger expects a BMS handshake from the battery before it initiates a charge cycle — if the pack arrived deeply discharged from storage, the BMS may be in a sleep state the charger can't wake. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it undisturbed for 15 to 20 minutes; most Li-ion chargers send a low-current pre-charge pulse that revives a sleeping BMS. If the charger light activates after that period, the pack is recovering normally. If there is still no response after 30 minutes, verify the charger output is delivering the correct voltage before assuming the cell is faulty.
