Fits Logitech wireless headset models 981-001151, 981-001298, 981-001303, 981-001310 and others; replaces OEM part 533-000214.
Voltage is 3.7V; capacity 350mAh powers the DECT radio and audio circuit without voltage sag during calls.
Connector is a two-pin SMD pad soldered directly to the headset PCB; polarity marked on the cell housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a Logitech base station simulator; BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion without error codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before taking calls — the base needs to calibrate the new cell's capacity estimate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech 981-001151 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (533-000214)

This is a 3.7V, 350mAh Li-Polymer battery built to fit the Logitech 981-001151 wireless headset and related models including 981-001298, 981-001303, and 981-001310. It matches the OEM part number 533-000214 and uses the same slim 41.70 x 39.40 x 4.70mm cell profile as the factory pack. When the original cell degrades, this swap restores full wireless audio and headset controls.

  • Multi-model fit across the 981-00 series: These headsets share the same base station charging contacts, BMS handshake protocol, and 3.7V cell footprint. One battery services the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the base station charging circuit and confirmed the BMS completed its full handshake sequence. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage threshold and recharged without error flags.
  • First charge in the base station: Seat the headset in the base and run a full uninterrupted charge cycle before use. DECT headsets need the base to log the new cell before the talk-time indicator reads accurately — skipping this step causes the display to misreport charge state for several sessions.

Voltage sag under combined audio and DECT radio draw

The 981-001151 drives both audio processing and the DECT radio transmitter from the same 3.7V cell. At peak transmission the combined draw briefly spikes above steady-state current. A worn or storage-voltage cell cannot hold the rail steady during that spike, which causes the headset to cut out or reset mid-call. A fresh cell at full charge maintains the voltage rail through those peaks without dropout.

Base station shows full charge but headset cuts off after short use

A new cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — not at full 4.2V. The base station reads the cell as charged before it has completed a true full cycle, so the charge indicator turns green early. The headset then runs on a partially charged pack and cuts off sooner than expected. Seat the headset in the base for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle; after that first full cycle the base-to-headset charge state reporting aligns correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Logitech headset keeps cutting out mid-call even with the new battery — what's causing it?

The most likely cause is the new cell sitting at storage voltage when you first installed it, not a full 4.2V charge. The combined DECT radio and audio draw briefly spikes current, and a partially charged cell can't hold the 3.7V rail through that spike. Seat the headset in the base station and run one complete uninterrupted charge cycle before your next call. After that full cycle, mid-call dropouts caused by voltage sag should stop.

The base station is showing a charging error and won't recognise the new pack — how do I fix it?

This happens when the BMS handshake between the new cell and the base station doesn't complete on the first seating. Remove the headset from the base, wait 10 seconds, then reseat it firmly so the charging contacts are fully engaged. Leave it undisturbed for the entire first charge cycle — interrupting the cycle early can stall the handshake. Once the base logs the new cell, the error clears and charging proceeds normally.

Why is talk time noticeably shorter than rated for the first few days after fitting this battery?

Li-Polymer cells don't hit rated capacity on cycle one — it builds over the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the electrolyte fully wets the electrode structure. The 350mAh rating reflects stable capacity after conditioning, not day-one performance. Use the headset normally through those first few cycles and let the base station complete full charges each time. By cycle four or five, talk time should reach the rated figure.
