This is a 14.4V 3350mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Lydsto R1 Edge cordless vacuum cleaner. It fits the R1 Edge handheld unit directly, restoring suction power when the original cell has lost capacity or stopped holding charge. Capacity is 3350mAh (48.24Wh) — matched to the original specification.

• R1 Edge platform fit: The R1 Edge runs a 4S1P cell configuration at 14.4V nominal. This battery matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the vacuum's BMS recognises the pack and allows normal charge and discharge cycles without fault codes.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the R1 Edge platform and confirmed the BMS handshake, charge termination at full capacity, and overcurrent protection response during simulated motor load spikes.
• Dock charging habit on the R1 Edge: Do not leave the R1 Edge sitting on the charging dock permanently. The vacuum's charging circuit does not fully interrupt trickle current when the battery reaches 100%. Charge to full, then remove from the dock to slow cell degradation.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS allows under restricted airflow — usually a partially blocked filter. The BMS reads an overcurrent condition and throttles output voltage to protect the cells, which the motor registers as reduced power. The battery indicator measures cell voltage at rest, not under load, so it can still read mid-range while suction has already weakened. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor sustains a high-draw state — often from a blockage or a clogged filter — the BMS cuts the output circuit to prevent cell damage. After a short rest, the BMS resets and allows current flow again. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and retest. If the trip still occurs on a clean filter with no blockage, check that cell voltage after a full charge reads 16.8V across the pack terminals.
