Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mamibot Sweepur 120 — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (180615)
This is a 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Mamibot Sweepur 120 robot vacuum cleaner. It matches OEM part number 180615 and slots into the same bay as the original cell. Capacity is rated at 14.4Wh — identical to the factory-fitted unit.
- Sweepur 120 compatibility: The Sweepur 120 uses a 7.2V Ni-MH pack to drive both the main motor and the navigation board from a single cell block. Voltage and connector must match exactly — substituting a Li-ion pack at this voltage rail will cause a BMS handshake fault and the unit will not run.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Sweepur 120 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, and the motor drew steady current across hard floor and low-pile carpet passes.
- Dock charging behaviour on Sweepur 120: Do not leave the Sweepur 120 sitting on its dock between cleans. This model applies a continuous trickle charge when docked, which degrades Ni-MH cells faster than Li-ion tolerates it. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next clean cycle.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the main motor draws more current than the battery can sustain at full voltage — the pack voltage sags under load even though stored charge remains. On the Sweepur 120, a partially blocked filter is the most common trigger: restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling amps the ageing cell cannot deliver cleanly. The result is reduced suction output well before the low-battery warning fires. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — if suction recovers and holds, the battery is not the root cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — by a clogged filter, tangled brush roll, or blocked inlet — the motor draws a sustained spike above the BMS current limit and the pack shuts output to protect the cell. After a short cool-down, the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Check the brush roll for hair wrap and clear the filter before assuming the battery is faulty. If cut-outs persist on a clean, unobstructed machine, measure resting pack voltage — a healthy Ni-MH cell at full charge should read at or above 8.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Sweepur 120 seem to lose suction halfway through a clean even though the battery indicator still shows charged?
The battery indicator on the Sweepur 120 measures remaining charge, not the cell's ability to deliver current under load. As a Ni-MH pack ages, its internal resistance rises — voltage sags when the motor demands peak current, and suction drops even though charge remains. A blocked or dirty filter makes this worse by forcing the motor to draw harder than the cell can sustain. Clean the filter and check resting pack voltage; a healthy cell should read at or above 8.5V off the charger.
My Sweepur 120 cuts out for a few seconds then carries on by itself — what's causing that?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself. Restricted airflow — from a tangled brush roll or clogged filter — forces the motor to sustain a current draw above the pack's rated output limit, so the BMS cuts power to protect the cell, then resets once current demand drops. It's not the battery failing; it's the battery doing its job under stress. Clear the brush roll and filter, then run the vacuum again — if the cut-outs stop, the cell is fine.
The replacement battery isn't holding a charge as long as the original did after just a few months — did I get a bad cell?
Probably not — this is most often trickle-charge damage from leaving the Sweepur 120 permanently docked. Unlike Li-ion chemistries, Ni-MH cells degrade quickly under continuous low-level charge; the Sweepur 120 dock does not cut power when the pack is full. Charge the battery to full, remove the unit from the dock, and only return it to charge when the battery is depleted. Capacity should stabilise after a few proper full-cycle charges managed this way.
