This is a 14.4V, 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Media U3-L021D and U5-L021C cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part RD-MID14.4VA and fits the original battery housing without modification. Capacity is rated at 21.6Wh, matching the original specification.

• U3-L021D and U5-L021C compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the same cell pack powers both. Swapping between these two models is straightforward because the voltage and physical interface are identical across the series.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through discharge under simulated motor load. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly and did not trip prematurely under normal suction draw. Cell balance across the Ni-MH pack stayed within acceptable deviation through three full cycles.

The BMS disconnects to protect the cells, then resets once temperature and current drop. Check the filter and clear any blockage at the nozzle — the trip threshold on this pack sits around the 3A sustained draw mark, so a clean airflow path keeps it from triggering.
