Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the battery's BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or brush roll restriction rather than a weak cell. The BMS reads the voltage sag from the elevated draw and throttles output to protect the pack, which the vacuum interprets as low power. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before swapping the battery. If suction restores immediately after clearing the restriction, the battery is not the fault.

Motor cuts out briefly then recovers during use

A momentary cutout that self-recovers within a few seconds is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a charger fault or dead cell. On the Jet 60, sustained high-resistance suction (blocked filter, sealed brush roll) spikes current draw past the BMS trip threshold. The BMS shuts the output rail, then re-enables it once current normalises. Fix the restriction first; if cutouts continue on a clear filter with a fresh battery, check that the cell voltage at rest reads at least 21.6V after a full charge cycle.
