Fits Medion Akoya P6633, Akoya E6221, Akoya E7219, Akoya P7621 and 28 other models — replaces OEM part numbers A32-A15, A41-A15, A42-A15, A42-H36.
11.1V, 4400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 48.84Wh to sustain full CPU and display load without mid-session shutdown.
Connector slides into the battery bay slot with a positive-latch tab that locks flush against the chassis underside.
We ran this cell through five full cycles on an Akoya P6633 — BMS accepted the new pack after first insertion, voltage held steady under sustained load, no early cutoff.
After installation, discharge fully to hibernation then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion Akoya P6633 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A32-A15)

This 11.1V, 4400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original A32-A15 cell in the Medion Akoya P6633 and a range of related Akoya E and P series notebooks. It slots into the same battery bay with no modification. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly at 48.84Wh.

  • Akoya E6221, E7219, P7621 and 28 further models: These notebooks share the same 11.1V three-cell battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers the whole platform. Cross-reference your OEM part number against A32-A15, A41-A15, A42-A15, or A42-H36 before ordering.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, full-load discharge, and BMS trip cycles on Akoya-platform hardware. The protection circuit held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a standard CC/CV charge cycle without fault flags.
  • Post-install calibration on the Akoya platform: After fitting, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on these Medion notebooks.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The Akoya P6633 BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM rather than measuring the cell directly. When a new cell arrives, the EEPROM data does not match what the BIOS expects from a learned cycle, so it flags the battery as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle rewrites those EEPROM health flags against the new cell's actual capacity.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell. The old cell had a steep voltage cliff at low state-of-charge, and the IC learned to trigger shutdown early to protect it. The new cell holds voltage lower before cutoff, but the IC does not know that yet. Two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's voltage curve — after that, the reported percentage and the actual cutoff point align correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Medion Akoya P6633 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" right after I installed it — is it dead?

The fuel gauge IC on the Akoya platform reads state-of-charge from stored calibration data tied to the old cell. A fresh cell has no matching data, so the IC reports 0% or unknown until it completes a learn cycle. Plug the laptop in, let it charge uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge fully to hibernate — repeat this once more and the gauge will track correctly against the new cell's voltage curve.

Windows says the new battery's capacity is lower than the 48.84Wh printed on the label — something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. The Wh figure Windows reads comes from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery, which reflects rated cell chemistry at the factory. The value shown in Windows power reports can differ slightly from the label figure until the BIOS has completed at least one full learn cycle against the actual cell. Run a full discharge to hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge — Windows should then report a Wh figure that aligns with the rated 48.84Wh.

The Akoya P6633 stops charging at around 80% and never reaches 100% — is the replacement cell faulty?

This is almost always a BIOS-level charge limit, not a cell fault. Some Medion BIOS versions ship with a battery conservation mode enabled that caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the BIOS power settings or the Medion system tray utility for a "battery care" or "charge limit" toggle and disable it. Once that setting is off, initiate a fresh charge cycle — the battery should proceed to 100%.
