Fits Midea R1-L102B and R1-L10D robotic vacuums; replaces OEM battery pack.
14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH delivers stable voltage to motor and navigation circuits during autonomous cleaning cycles.
Connector slides into vertical dock slot with indexed tab; locking latch seats flush when fully inserted.
We tested the BMS under sustained suction load on carpet; voltage held steady through blockage detection without early cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously—trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity fast; remove from dock immediately after reaching full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Midea R1-L102B / R1-L10D — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Midea R1-L102B and R1-L10D robotic vacuum cleaners. It fits the motor and navigation power rail directly, restoring the cleaning cycle after the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the factory specification.

  • R1-L102B and R1-L10D compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V power bus, connector form factor, and battery bay dimensions. The cell fits either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the R1-L102B platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the motor draw across hard floor and carpet transitions stayed within rated current limits.
  • Dock charging habit for Ni-MH cells: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. Ni-MH chemistry is more vulnerable to trickle-charge damage than lithium. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next cleaning cycle.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the R1-L102B, the motor controller reduces power output when pack voltage sags — this happens earlier than the low-battery indicator triggers. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which accelerates voltage sag on any cell, including a new one. Clean the filter before fitting a replacement battery. If sag still occurs early, check that the cell terminals are making firm contact in the bay and that resting voltage reads at least 16.8V after a full charge.

Motor cuts out mid-run then restarts after a few seconds

This is an overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, saturated filter, or tight carpet pile — the motor pulls a sustained current spike that the BMS reads as a fault and interrupts. The pause you see is the BMS resetting. Clear the blockage, clean or replace the filter, and run the unit again. If trips continue on an unobstructed floor, the cell itself may be supplying current unevenly due to cell-level imbalance — a fresh replacement will resolve that.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Midea R1-L102B fitted with a new battery keeps losing suction halfway through a run even though the battery light isn't showing low — what's causing this?

This is voltage sag, not a dead battery. When the motor works harder against a dirty filter or partial blockage, current draw rises and pack voltage drops faster than the indicator responds. Clean the filter thoroughly before your next run. If sag still happens on a clear floor, check that the battery terminals are seated firmly and that pack voltage reads at least 16.8V immediately after a full charge.

The robot stops mid-clean for a few seconds, then carries on by itself — is this a battery fault or something else?

That pause is an overcurrent trip from the BMS, not a flat battery. Restricted airflow — a blocked brush roll, a saturated filter, or dense carpet — forces the motor to draw a current spike the BMS cuts off as a protective measure. Clear the brush roll and clean the filter, then run the unit again on a hard floor. If it trips on an unobstructed surface, replace the filter first before assuming a cell fault.

I left my Midea R1-L102B on the dock constantly for several months and now the new battery seems to fade faster than expected — did I damage it already?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in Ni-MH robotic vacuum batteries. The charger maintains a low trickle current that degrades Ni-MH cells faster than occasional full charge cycles do. From now on, charge the battery to full and remove the vacuum from the dock until the next run. A cell that has already been trickle-charged for extended periods will not fully recover, but stopping the habit will preserve remaining capacity.
