Fits Profimaster Robot 2712 robotic vacuum; replaces OEM battery for this model.
14.4V and 2000mAh capacity restores full cleaning cycles on hard floors and carpets.
Connector slides into vacuum dock with locking tab — seating must be firm.
Bench test showed clean BMS handshake on dock charger; no fault codes observed.
Do not leave vacuum on charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Profimaster Robot 2712 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original cell in the Profimaster Robot 2712 robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the 2712 platform directly and restores the voltage the drive and suction motors require to run a full cleaning cycle. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the factory specification.

  • Robot 2712 platform fit: The 2712 uses a 14.4V Ni-MH pack with a specific cell count to maintain the voltage rail that both the drive wheels and suction motor draw from simultaneously. Swapping chemistry or voltage — even slightly — causes the BMS to reject the pack or the motors to run underspec.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through discharge under combined motor load — drive and suction active together — and confirmed the BMS did not trip on startup surge. Voltage held above 13V through the mid-discharge band where most worn cells collapse.
  • Dock charging on the Robot 2712: Do not leave the 2712 sitting on its charging dock indefinitely between uses. Ni-MH cells in continuous trickle charge degrade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it when the battery is low.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Robot 2712

A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than its rated load. That extra draw pulls the pack voltage down faster than the indicator circuit expects, so suction weakens while the indicator still reads mid-charge. The fix is not the battery — clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers after a filter clean, the cell is fine. If it still drops early with a clean filter, the pack voltage is sagging under load and the cell needs replacement.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical fault. When the suction path is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or debris jam — the motor pulls above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The unit recovers once current demand drops. Clear the blockage, then run a full discharge-to-charge cycle. If trips continue on a clean machine, check pack voltage immediately after a trip — anything below 12V under light load confirms cell degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Robot 2712 starts strong but suction weakens well before the battery light comes on — is the new battery faulty?

Not necessarily. A restricted filter forces the suction motor to draw above its rated current, which pulls pack voltage down faster than the indicator circuit tracks. The indicator reads state of charge from time or voltage at rest — not under load. Clean the filter first. If suction holds after that, the battery is working correctly.

The Robot 2712 shuts off mid-clean and then powers back on a minute later — what's causing that?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event, usually from a blocked brush roll or a clogged filter pushing motor draw above the pack's protection threshold. The unit restarts once current demand drops back to normal. Clear the brush roll and filter, then run a full cycle. If it trips again on a clean machine, check resting pack voltage — below 12.5V at rest after a full charge means the cells are not recovering fully.

I replaced the battery but the Robot 2712 still charges slowly and seems to run out of charge faster than expected — what's going wrong?

A new Ni-MH cell often needs two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles before it reaches rated capacity. Run the vacuum until it stops from low battery, then charge it fully without interruption — do not pull it off the dock early during this break-in period. After three full cycles, if capacity still seems low, confirm the charger output matches the 14.4V Ni-MH requirement, as a charger designed for a different chemistry will not condition the cells correctly.
