Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RobZone Duoro XClean Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the RobZone Duoro XClean cordless vacuum range. It fits the Duoro XClean, Duoro XClean 3.0, Duoro XClean Generace 2.0, Duoro XClean Generace 3.0, and at least five additional models in that lineup. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or the vacuum loses suction partway through a clean.
- Duoro XClean series compatibility: These models share a common 14.4V battery rail and connector format across generations. The Generace 2.0 and 3.0 variants use the same cell configuration as the base XClean, so one battery format covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the XClean platform and monitored the BMS response under both open-floor and restricted-airflow loads. The protection circuit responded correctly to sustained overcurrent and did not trip under normal carpet passes.
- Dock charging on the Duoro XClean: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under constant trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Duoro XClean
Ni-MH cells show voltage sag under load before the resting voltage reflects any real capacity loss. On the Duoro XClean, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which accelerates that sag. The battery indicator reads the resting voltage, not the loaded voltage — so suction weakens well before the light triggers. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction restores immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, jammed brush roll, or clogged inlet — the motor draws sustained current above the BMS threshold and the protection circuit cuts power. A short pause lets the BMS reset and the vacuum restarts. Clear the blockage completely, then check that the filter is seated correctly. If trips continue on a clean filter with a new battery, measure terminal voltage at load — it should hold above 12V under normal suction conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Duoro XClean fitted with a new battery still shows rapid capacity fade — charged it twice and it already feels weak. What causes this?
Ni-MH cells shipped in storage have a partially discharged state that can confuse the charger's termination logic on the first cycle. The charger may end the charge too early if it detects a false delta-V peak from a cold or deeply discharged cell. Run two to three full discharge-charge cycles on the vacuum before judging capacity — draw the battery down through normal use each time, not by leaving it idle. By the third cycle the cell should reach close to its rated 2000mAh.
The Duoro XClean powers on but suction is noticeably weaker than before I replaced the battery — filter is clean. What should I check?
Weak suction with a clean filter and a charged battery usually points to the brush roll or inlet, not the cell. A partial blockage in the intake path forces the motor to throttle under load even when voltage is adequate. Remove the brush roll cover and check for hair or debris wrapped tight around the axle — this is the most common restriction point on the XClean. Once cleared, if suction returns to full strength, the battery was not the issue.
My Duoro XClean won't charge after fitting the replacement battery — dock light stays off. How do I confirm whether the charger or the battery is the problem?
Some RobZone chargers expect a minimum cell voltage before initiating the charge cycle — a deeply discharged Ni-MH pack can fall below that threshold and the charger simply will not start. Check terminal voltage on the new battery with a multimeter; if it reads below approximately 10V, the charger may refuse it. To recover, apply a brief trickle charge using a universal Ni-MH charger set to 200mA until terminal voltage rises above 10.8V, then return it to the dock.
