Fits Motorola Moto G60s and XT2133-1/XT2133-2 variants, replacing OEM part LK50.
3.87V, 4800mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full runtime on Moto G60s after capacity loss or degradation.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with flat-pin JST alignment and friction-fit retention.
We ran full discharge cycles on the fuel gauge IC—BMS accepted the cell without fault codes or cutoff anomalies.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before USB-PD current load.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola Moto G60s (XT2133) — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LK50)

This 3.87V, 4800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original LK50 cell in the Motorola Moto G60s smartphone, covering model numbers XT2133-1 and XT2133-2. It fits the 2021 production run of the G60s. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a full day of use.

  • XT2133-1 and XT2133-2 compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the LK50 cell works across the full XT2133 lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an XT2133-2 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC ramped to full current within the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is introduced.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G60s after a cell swap

The G60s uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell with lower impedance hits a voltage cliff at a different state-of-charge point than the IC expects. When the modem transmits or the display peaks brightness, current draw spikes and cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the reported percentage still shows 20–30%. One full slow-charge cycle resets the counter baseline and the shutdowns stop.

USB-PD fast charge not working after replacement

On a fresh cell, the BMS sometimes refuses the fast-charge handshake on the first connection because it has no charge history to reference. The G60s charge IC defaults to trickle rate until it completes one standard-rate cycle. Plug into a 5V/1A charger — not the fast charger — and let it charge to 100% uninterrupted. After that cycle, the BMS accepts the fast-charge protocol at the correct voltage step.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Moto G60s shuts off at 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the XT2133 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell, and the new LK50 cell has a different internal resistance profile. Under modem or display load, voltage drops faster than the IC anticipates, and the BMS trips the cutoff. Run one full discharge down to auto-off, then charge to 100% on a standard charger — the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my G60s jumps around erratically after the swap — sometimes it goes from 60% straight to 40%.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating itself against an unfamiliar cell. The IC uses a stored discharge model built from hundreds of cycles on the old cell, and that model no longer matches the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Percentage readings stabilise after two to three full discharge-charge cycles. Do not top up mid-cycle during this period — let each cycle run fully from 100% down to shutdown, then charge straight back to 100%.

The phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges — is the new cell overheating?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage across it to maintain the target current. That extra energy becomes heat. It is normal for the first two to three charge cycles and drops off as the cell's impedance settles. If the back of the phone is too hot to hold comfortably — above roughly 45°C — stop the charge, let it cool for 10 minutes, and restart at a lower-wattage charger.
